Why December? Your apps will be late if you plan on applying this cycle.

Because I decided on law school in August and September was too soon to be ready. My apps will be later than I'd like, but still before deadline. Most schools stop accepting apps by around February, it seems. I don't want to wait until 2011 to begin law school. I'd like to start next year.

I feel like three months of studying should be enough if I commit to it. If my practice tests aren't good, I may have to wait. But I'd prefer not to.

I'm the same way, decided on law school in July, and cant see myself waiting till Fall 2011 to be starting.... Taking it in Sept just for a baseline even though im not even close to ready (forgot to postpone oh well)

Yeah. How about some more responses? I want insight into how others raised their diagnostic scores considerably! :)

If law is what you really want to do, then you should be willing to wait another year to get into the right school for you. You may have no problem getting into the school of your choice with a December application, but so many spots have already been filled at this time that your odds are much lower. If you get a score your comfortable with, but don't get into the school of your choice (assuming it's realistic for your numbers and softs), don't sell yourself short and just go to another school because it gets you into class a year earlier.

This advice is all qualified of course, and your situation may be unique enough to warrant going this next fall no matter what, but I see such a case as an exceptional one.

I went from 155 diag to a 170 on the real thing. I did all self prep for about 6 months 5-6 hours per week (until may, then it was more like 12 hours per week). I used the bibles and PT's. Its possible to make big jumps, good luck!
