Full PT today (5 sections)
PT 49
-0 on LG and RC
Score: 175
considering I haven't studied for LSAT in a month, I'm extremely proud of this and feel good about 10/09
Awesome! I decided to take three days off from tests and I'm due to take this one on Saturday. Have 8 of them left after that. I'm scared to take 60 right before the test for some reason...think I'll do it about a week before.

Yeah taking a break is good. I'm taking one on Saturday as well and will post how I do. I took 60 (as the actual administered LSAT) but cancelled and haven't looked at it since but I, too, am nervous about taking it as a PT right before the exam so I'll probably take it next week.

Good luck!

Just broke 170 for the first time (171) after being stuck at 168 for about two weeks, and managed a -0 on LG. Hoping I hit my high in two weeks!

I guess I belong in this club. I scored 164 on my first LSAT, now I'm retaking and aiming for 175+. I think I'm going to make it, too.

Judging from your posts on the other thread, you definitely will! I need a 170+ bad. But I'm stuck in the high 160s. So I took Tues-Friday off from taking PTs and focused solely on LR and RC with a game or two in between. Mostly RC since it was giving me trouble of late. I had a bit of a breakthrough with that so I hope it reflects in the PT I'm taking later today (49). I have eight PTs left after today so I am hoping it's enough of them to see the improvement.

I feel like I just need to tighten each section up a little bit (I know that's what we're all in the business of doing!).

Good luck. I'm taking 60 today, I'll post how it goes! Unfortunately, I have like zero PTs left to take in the 50s (since I'm a retaker) so after this it will probably be #40-#42 and then the real deal!

What have you been doing to prep lately? Ive been around the mid 160s and seem to be hitting a wall.
I focused on LR intensely lately. any questions types I'm consistently missing, I read the relevant section in the Bible and then practice some more.

Wow. I just took PT 60 *which I actually took in June but cancelled because I got sick and ended up scoring a 176 today.

Even 2 weeks from the test, gains are possible. Let's do it :)

Dayum!! Awesome. That is fabulous. I'm scared to take 60 last. :?

I took 49 today. -3 in the first three sections. -11 in the last two. So 167 scaled. I'm taking another tomorrow (PT 52) and see if a little energy drink will help me not lose focus towards the end. I have seven tests left...43 and the rest 53-60 scattered.

Two weeks!! You have given me hope!

Good luck. I've taken the LSAT twice and both times endurance/getting tired/losing focus was not something I had conquered. I didn't do anything to improve it except taking 5 section tests but luckily, I don't get tired anymore.

Actually, I started taking vitamins about a month ago - that might be the secret solution :)

hey everyone,

I'm stuck in the 165-167 range, and I'm not sure how to improve my score to the 170+. I usually get 0 to -1 on the LG, but about -10 to -12 on LR and -5 on RC. It's been going on for a few tests now, and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any guides/strategies, etc, that you think would be helpful. (When I do practice questions by question type, I tend to get most of them right...so that hasn't been too helpful).

If so, please let me know. I really appreciate the advice. Good luck to everyone taking the oct exam.

The biggest thing that helped me move from 168 to 170+ was working on LR (since it was my weakest). I stopped doing full PTs and focused on 1-2 sections of LR a day and did them timed. I then went over each question, even the ones I got right because there would invariably be some that I got right but hadn't been 100% confident about when listing my answer. Going over both right and wrong questions helped me clarify WHY each particular answer choice was correct or incorrect.

Apparently I have figured out how to read again. PT 52 today and finally broke into the 170s for the third time. Now just to do it consistently. I think taking a 5 hour energy definitely helped to fight off fatigue for the last sections because I managed only -2 on RC (thank the gods I can read again!) and didn't lose focus on LR2. I'm still hoping for the real thing to have the games in the second half.

Now to just do it two times consecutively!

If you haven't done the Logical Reasoning Bible yet then get it, FAST and work through the examples. If you cannot get that quickly read the LR section explanation in the Superprep. . .but the LRB took me from inconsistent to missing 0-2 on a LR section. It is really, really learneable.

Post-Powerscore LR/LG/RC Bibles

My last PrepTest (26) was a 169/86 grr.

LG -1
LR -5
LR -5
RC -4

This sucks, since my LG was at -0 for the past 2 PTs and my RC was at -1 for the past two PTs. If only I had scored as I usually did on the LG and RC I would have gotten a 172. Score was untimed though but fwiw I'm definitely a 170+ hopeful

Tomorrow is 27, Wednesday 28 and Friday 29. Hopefully I'll break 170.

Finally got 170+ two tests in a row. This is good. PT 53. I'm most happy about the improvement in LR. -5 over the two sections. Brought my raw up to 91. Gotta keep plugging away to bring it up to 92+ if at all possible.

First post in the thread, but i was in the 160 club for a month leading up to the lsat and only broke a 171 and 173 twice out of maybe 35 exams in that time, the rest are all 160's
shooting for a 165 test day
