This is weird, because usually the tests are conducted at the same date as well (taking in to account time zone differences). However, for June, Asia's slated to take it in June 28, whereas in the US it's June 8. September's is roughly the same though. What gives with June?

This is just an idea, but June 4th is the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen square incident. There may be serious protests in Beijing, and Hong Kong. Perhaps they wanted to avoid that weekend.

that sounds like a very possible reason for the delay. i'll be taking the June test in Asia as well.

The bad part about this could be that if you're using the June exam to get off a waitlist, you might get your score later than people who take it anywhere else.

Waitlist from this cycle. Some people ride them all summer and try to use an improved June LSAT score to get in.

So it is certain that the LSAT takes place on June 28, 2009 in Hong Kong (Asia) and it isn't a typo?

Is the LSAT identical to the others administered in the U.S.?

Has anybody taken it in Hong Kong? If so, please share your experience (saw the scrap paper thread above). Really appreciate it. THANKS!

Assuming it's on the same schedule and system as US administrations, your admissions ticket will be available online as a PDF sometime this month through LSAC. That will have the reporting date, time, location, etc.

It must be related to the reporting date; the US test will be reported June 29 by email, according to LSAC. So the Asia administrations will be the day before (slightly more, with time difference).

that has nothing to do with anything. they don't even use the same test, so the date the us test is reported is irrelevant, plus we all know that the tests are generally reported a few days early (which hopefully i can obtain during that super small window so that i have one more practice test before the actual).

it's probably logistical. takes more time to organize the lsat adminstration overseas then it does in the states. which would explain why overseas administration always occurs after the us test date and never before.
