Some degree of nervousness is probably good for you anyway. Might help you focus. Anyway, after you have to sit through like 5 hours of test explanations and handing out tests and answer sheets, fill in these bubbles, write this statement in cursive, etc., you forget about being nervous.

Well, I know what I experienced in Dec 07 was not just nervousness. I know part of what I was feeling had to be chalked up to being unprepared. But what I had was a full blown anxiety attack. Just don't want that to happen again.

And I don't think I am susceptible to anxiety attacks. I believe anyone can have an isolated anxiety attack.

Gosh, I did not know that Xanax affects you that way. I wanted to take it before the test because I also cancelled my June test due to not being to understand what I read thanks to my addrenaline. Now, I dont even know how to manage my anxiety next week. Any ideas besides "stay confident"?

Caffeine - required
Ritalin/Adderall - optional, unethical, but I sorta wish I'd taken it in June
Benzos (Xanax, etc.) - Don't
Ginkgo - At the worst it'll do nothing, so go for it.
Ginseng - Same

Sleep and hydration and probably more crucial than all of the above. Also, if you're a smoker, don't be in nicotine withdrawl during the test. Bring gum or something.

that shit gets me very very high. there's no doubt that i'd have fun taking the lsat on xanax, that's for sure, but i'd also be drooling all over myself. i'd rather be on xanax when the score reports come in..

Ditto on the not a good idea thing.

It is long-term vs. short-term value argument. XANAX is good to calm you for the test. However, I think it can have tremendously negative effects on your mindset unless your doctor prescribes it.

I would really cautious with any stimulant like this.
