Stuck at 165 LSAT(4 takes), GPA 4.0

Post by Rehli414 » Sun Sep 30, 2018 9:27 am

I have taken the LSAT 4 times: Cancel, 165, Cancel, 165. I am well aware this probably looks awful, but I am not sure I should just accept a 165 as my best as my PT average scores were around 171 for the first two takes and after another 3 months of studying they increased to the 175 range for the last two takes. I do have pretty terrible test anxiety so I am pretty sure it is that, but regardless does anyone recommend taking it a fifth time or is that stupid? Thanks.

Don't worry about bad "optics" if you're able to improve to 170+ on a fifth try. Given your PT numbers I think you should definitely retake - once you sort out your test day anxiety (wish I had better advice for doing that!). World of difference between a 165 and a 170+, or at least a 169.

Not stupid. Keep practicing so you don't lose the skills you have developed. Start focusing on learning relaxation techniques.
