The library should have a quiet area. For example, my university library has four floors and the top two are quiet study only, which is where I do my studying.greatspirit wrote:Just finished my PT.
Did my PT was a university library, and it was WAY louder then I thought it was going to be :/ Any suggestions on places to do PTs in super quiet places? Am in NYC for the record.
Aside from the noise, had some timing issues (i.e. Only got through two LGs...ouch). Will grade and post results here later today.

Re: The Official December 2017 Study Group
I talked to a lady at the LSAC Forum in Chicago yesterday and she said that all chronograph watches are banned, and the only watches that are allowed are Casio digital watches. She also believed the 180 watches were still ok, but that I would have to call LSAC to confirm that. To answer you question tho, Mastermind watches are banned.greatspirit wrote:Is it true that those Mastermind countdown wrist watches have been banned?
I know there has been some debate on this topic so can anyone back me up on this?

Thanks!! Admittedly my mind is pretty much fried from all the anticipatory stress of grey day today/tomorrow. They were stupid mistakes. I was rushing and distracted. Just going to stop until I get my score and then ramp back up (unless I don't have to retake, but thinking chances of that are slim to none).Bartlet4President wrote:DistrictDisaster wrote:Decided I would face my inevitably bad score by starting to study at lunch hour. Did a logic game section (normally my best). -4. Not an auspicious start.
Maybe it was a fluke. I had my worst PT in a while on Monday and I missed 4 on games (I’m usually a 0 on games). Just makes sure you got the mistakes down and learn from it. Just be happy it wasn’t Test day. You got this.

I am going to retake my June test. I submitted some apps already but I am going to submit a hold on review for them and apply in January.
I hope that's not too late for T14.

I am pretty sure I did not score as high as I could.
I took a loud watch to the test and wasted time trying to put it away.

Well apparently the people that work for LSAC don't even know this rule so it makes sense that some proctors also may not know it. The lady I spoke with explicitly said she was certain Casio brand digital watches are acceptable.littlewing67 wrote:MercW07 wrote:I talked to a lady at the LSAC Forum in Chicago yesterday and she said that all chronograph watches are banned, and the only watches that are allowed are Casio digital watches. digital watches, alarm watches, beeping watches, calculator watches, chronograph watches (digital or nondigital)
My proctor in September allowed them though, because some girl asked. I assume most test takers don't know about the new rule and even some proctors.

Has anyone here done the LG section from PT57? Its the one that includes the infamous dinosaur game, if that helps to ring any bells.
Anyway, I found the section had an almost unfair level of difficulty. I consider myself pretty strong in the LG department and I was forced to guess on 4 questions. Luckily I got the other 19 questions right, but damn that dinosaur game is hard. I haven't had to guess on an LG section in nearly 2 months so Im pretty rattled right now.

I started doing that section yesterday (timed) and got to that game and just flipped out lmao. That's equally frightening and embarrassing and funny. I'm going to do it again today. Will let you know what I think of it.MercW07 wrote:Has anyone here done the LG section from PT57? Its the one that includes the infamous dinosaur game, if that helps to ring any bells.

Def a tough LG section. When I did it I was able to finish it, yet pressed with time and i think I went -2 maybe -3. Def reccomend fool proofing those games and doing the section againMercW07 wrote:Has anyone here done the LG section from PT57? Did it last week and was my lowest score in around 2 months. I also burned so much time on the dino game that I was left with <5 minutes for the next one, so I shit the bed pretty bad.MercW07 wrote:Has anyone here done the LG section from PT57? Actually happy though that I'm seeing this problem now, instead of a week before the test so I can foolproof it over the next 6.5 weeks.

I was around from the beginning but here's my pledge to being a December taker. The experimental RC that was from hell definitely tilted me and ruined my entire test. Got my worst LR section ever immediately after, knew I fucked that LR up and it snowballed from there.King of the North wrote:Sept. scores are starting to roll in. They need to give everyone the same experimental section or remove it all together.

I literally did this test a few days ago (hence my post saying that I really hope we don't get a weird game in Dec.). Also went -2 and I rarely miss anything on gamesRupert Pupkin wrote:Def a tough LG section. When I did it I was able to finish it, yet pressed with time and i think I went -2 maybe -3. Geez. That’s really tough; I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you have the opposite experience this time around.twiix wrote:I was around from the beginning but here's my pledge to being a December taker.
