Don't the gray icons just indicate that winter scores are coming?

Boring question: If you are retaking (or are likely to retake), how much time will you devote to studying?

If I have to retake I will likely prep similar to how I did for June as I was pting high and will rack the retake up to nerves for first time. If for some odd reason I would retake a third time at that point I might get a psychiatrist instead of an LSAT tutor.

Very little early on but increasing in the final month. I find it was difficult in the middle to keep my obsessiveness high. So really, enough to not lose any practice, but really just focusing in on the final few weeks. I had to cancel my May study staycation due to turnover at work so I managed to schedule a week off in September so this could be good. Wait, what day is September test?

Anyone going to the LSAC Forum in DC next month? I've heard that fee waivers are given out like candy, and I was able to get a super cheap flight/hotel for that day. Should easily make my money spent back in waivers, and if not the conversations I have with admissions people can be useful for Why X essays.

Ugh, of course the ONE time I sign up for a Saturday grad class it conflicts  . Miami in October would be nice though!

Maybe, I was planning a trip out of town that weekend. If I'm in town I'll go since it's basically up the street.

I'm interested. I'm about 3 hours away but I'll make the trip for some fee waivers and exposure to that stuff.

The closest LSAC forum to me is in Houston. I don't mind making the drive, but it's all the way at the end of October and I'll almost certainly have submitted all of my apps except perhaps Yale. Is there any value in going at that point? If so, I'll make plans to attend.

Is anyone else here involved politically? Just anecdotally, it seems like eager potential law students are drawn to political orgs. I was a Hill intern in college, did some volunteering for the Clinton campaign, and now I volunteer with Battleground Texas and my local Democratic Party. I have some concern that having such an explicit political bend might taint my app in the eyes of some adcomms, but given the liberal leaning nature of most law it probably isn't much to worry about. I can probably rule out a Gorsuch clerkship in a few years though.

Not sure how this would hurt you at all. Most top schools are pretty heavily liberal leaning - you'd be much more likely to face backlash if you had volunteered for the trump campaign

I volunteered for Sanders quite a bit. Member of a small Marxist party but will probably keep that off applications.

Shouldn't really be a problem, unless you come across as one of those naive "I want to be a lawyer so I can get into politics" type. You're correct, most law schools are pretty liberal, and even so, I doubt your political orientation would be the issue, it's really a matter of coming across as either 1) arrogant or 2) naive.

I have 0 interest in getting involved in politics myself, it's almost more of a hobby. I have four PS ideas, and none include political activism for fear of being either of the two things you mentioned.
