164-166 Disappointment

seems about right.

120-169 depression
170-171 disappointment
172-178 relief
179-180 someone made a mistake

Similar to yours:
120-171 retake
172-173 OK
174-177 relief
178-180 they got the wrong scantron, but I ain't complaining

120-169 : Retake

170: Agonize over a retake

171: On the fence over a retake

172: Probably able to talk myself out of a retake

173-174: On the money

175-177: Shit myself

178-180:

ditto for me, although 172 would be solid "no retake" land.

Some people like me are splitters everywhere. Below the 25th gpa for just about every law school in the country, and (hopefully) above the 75th lsat for just about every school in the country.

I think whether one is a splitter or not can change from school to school. My GPA is below median at UVA, so if I score high enough on my LSAT I guess you could consider me a splitter there. On the other hand, I am above median at Duke and at the 75th for Cornell so I wouldn't be a splitter there (although I could be a reverse splitter if I bombed the LSAT...).

A reverse splitter is the least desirable and least valuable applicant type.

What's the adage? A reverse splitter is someone who didn't study hard enough for the LSAT?

I am in your camp as well. My C's and D's from my freshman year haunt me to this day.

Actually the worst candidate is someone below both 25ths

+1

I was on and off debating it, even though I know that I probably couldn't bring myself to cancel my score. Glad the option is gone and I don't have to think about it anymore.

I imagine it 10000000% depends on your Undergrad school, too. A splitter from Princeton is much more acceptable than a splitter from Alabama. (I went to a top tier school that's notorious for grade deflation and my classmate got into UVA within a month of applying. I think she got her acceptance email 12 hours after her interview. GPA below 25th. LSAT above 75th.)

Is anyone still low-key studying in case of a September retake? I'm trying to decide what the best plan is for the next 3 weeks (clearly "do nothing and wait" isn't going well for me).

As soon as I get my score I'm starting my personal statement and all other essays (got a couple of addenda to right, unfortunately). Already locked down my rec letters. Want to have everything done before I go back to school in August so I can submit day one for everything.

Generally, I noticed where I went to school that being over one median gave you leeway on the other, even for non-URMs, for top tier law schools.

As for apps, I'm hoping mid-late September if I don't need to take the September test. If I do, then I'll submit immediately after scores come in early October.
