Checking in. I started a new thread with my "HELP" notice, but I'll probably delete it. I'll try to figure out my plan of attack and start studying on Monday. The September test is the 16th, my birthday is the 18th. Maybe it'll be a good omen. Let's do this September crew!

June 17: 163
Goal Score: 167+

Hey at least you'll be able to celebrate your birthday carefree because you'll be post-LSAT but pre-waiting stress. :D

Scored a 168 this June. I'll be joining you guys for the September ride.

As an aside, half of my missed questions were rc, largely because I got to the last passage with 5 min remaining. What do you guys do to prep rc? Admittedly I should've done more practice with time constraints, but in my practice tests I rarely ran out of time.

As a whole my studying plan is gonna be much more disciplined this time around. I would kinda just get off work do an LSAT section or 2, probably only ~4 days a week

Checking in for Sept. '17. Got a 161 for June '17. Hopefully this time around there isn't a bullshit curve/I do better.

Joining you all. Took the June test and scored under my average.

I thought I was solid on LR but June told me otherwise. I could also use some improvement on LG. I finally have a solid mastery-untimed. Timed I can get through 3 and maybe a couple questions.

I'm not sure what my game plan is yet. I used the Trainer last time and don't have many fresh recent PTs left. Luckily I have the memory of a gnat for specific questions. I think I'm going to go through all the LR chapters and drills again from the trainer and do a ton of timed drilling in LG.

RC was first, and I felt completely unready to test. I missed 9 out of the first 15. Crazy to think my test was over in less than 20 mins.

That said, I'm confident I can crack 175+ now that the pressure of a first take is off my shoulders.

Or not...

The idea that we will be taking the test together for real and slapping the bag afterwards gives me hope for the 170+ I know I can make. <3

I finished the LGB and am almost done with the trainer, so I took my first timed practice test (PT 61) last week and scored a 160. I am super disappointed and want to reach a 170 by September. Logic Games give me the most trouble, even though I've gone through the Cambridge packets and did all the logic game sections up to practice test 61. I am now in the process of going back over previous logic games that took me over 8:45. Any suggestions? I can't seem to improve on logic games! I watch the 7Sage videos for games that give me trouble and redo them. Also, even basic linear games still take me almost the full 8:45. It's the timing that hurts me. Thank you so much! I am sorry for impeding on this forum lol.

just like rand said, repetition is the biggest factor for LG. I see you've done up to PT61 for LG, so honestly, do those games over again.

what I did to get LG as my best section, was that I did games by game type, then once I got used to them, I did full sections. used a stopwatch to see how long each game took me. when finished with the full section, if it took me longer than 35 mins and/or I got even 1 question wrong on 1 game, I would do the ENTIRE SECTION over again the next day. it was like "punishing myself" so that way I would go a lot faster the next time and actually get none wrong. seems a bit extreme, but this was my method of repetition.

just keep practicing, you'll get it eventually honestly.

Thanks so much.I think I'm too short on time to sort them all by game type and do them that way so I think I'll just go back and redo the sections. I guess I needed to hear it. THANK YOU!!

If you have the PS LG bible it tells you the type of each game for each PT in the back if the book.

I do! Thanks so much!

I ordered Manhattan LR this morning. Haven't looked at exactly which LR questions I missed. I know that my prep is going to be really focused on doing LR under serious pressure. Probably going to just spend the rest of this month solely focused on LR, with weekly early PTs.

Anyone else have any thoughts on how to shore up LR?

I felt noticeably less focused during the first two sections. I put in my worst RC performance ever first, and had experimental LG second (which I am sure rocked me). The rest of the test was normal. When I got to section three, which was LR, it calmed me down with how normal it was. I drank my sorrows away last night, now I am ready to get back to it and put this thing to bed.

Do you do any warmup sections before the test? I've found that by doing a hard RC passage, a LG and a few LR questions an hour before starting a PT I am way more prepared to jump straight into things instead of having to 'warmup" at the cost of subpar performances on the first section.

Hi all, checking in. So bummed I'm here hahaha but at least I'm with a good group :) Got 162 in December and going into June was averaging 170, got a 161 on the June test. Legitimately am at a loss, I have no idea what happened. Registered for September last night, so let the fun begin again! -____-

I'm in the same boat. I thought I was solid on LR but then went -8 combined and got that damn 168 and now I just feel like I've hit a mental wall. I don't know what to do to improve

I'm worried about focusing solely on LR at the expense of LG which is bound to be harder this test. Also, I did really well on RC but it was my worst section going in so now I just feel confused...

I really hope that the Trainer helps!

Just woke up from a nightmare where I was at the September test having done no prep between then and now and with nothing in my possession but an ink pen. No ticket, no pencils. Guess that's what I get for binging the "overheard at the LSAT" thread

Apologies if this questions has already been asked and thoroughly answered. I am looking to specifically improve LR and RC. I have completed both powerscore bibles and am wondering if manhattan or trainer would be more effective. Thoughts? :)

I scored an average of 169 over 12 practice tests but I bombed in June, I had a crazy migraine and ended up second guessing half of my answers. When I reviewed my answer sheet, I noticed that I had erased so many correct answers and chosen incorrect answers, particularly in LR. Does anyone have any tips for this? Powerscore doesn't exactly have a section called "confidence in your first choice".

Just bought all of the powerscore workbooks and I'll be getting Manhattan Prep's LR book.

Good luck to all in September!

On like any other test my raw would've been like a 168 and I would've been content with that (although I would've retaken anyway). Screw this curve.

I'm not entirely sure about Manhattan's RC or LR, but their LG combined with Powerscore's LG helped me nearly perfect LG.

I was just hoping for a 170. I think I'm going to set my new goal at 172, though, since I'm having to study more.
