I think almost all of us are going to be nervous on test day, that's a given. It's an important test, but once you realize you have studied and tried your best, you'll realize there isn't shit to be anxious about. if you go in confident and with a clear head, you will be fine.

When we the last time you PT'd? I'm going to PT today, I was going to do 81 yesterday but I had things to do so had to move it to today.
My last PT was a week ago. I'm just exhausted from work yesterday so I'm thinking tomorrow morning

My last PT was my highest so far. I'm hoping to scrape 3-4 points together

I feel like LR and RC are so predictable but even if I get through every game made I could still maybe get tripped up if they put a really unusual freak logic game in...

Picked up a 173 and a 175 last week. Now that we're two weeks out, I've added the experimental.

PT 63: 177
LR: -1
LG: -0
LG2: -0 (exp)
LR2: -2
RC: -1

Was there ever consensus on what the best legal timer/watch now is?

PT 77: 175
-2 RC
-1 LR1
-0 LG
-3 LR2 ( )

All of my PTs post June and reading the LSAT Trainer have been 172+... hoping for similar results in September. Can't believe we're only two weeks out, but I'm ready for it to be over.

I took the june lsat test. My specialty is reading, and reading quickly, with only 4 wrong on the reading section. I received 5 wrong on each logical reasoning. However, the games section for me was abysmal. If I could find an lsat practice partner and we could meet via skype, ideally for me one weaker in reading, so that I can be of assistance, and stronger in games, so that the partner can assist me.

Thank you

Today's PT leaves me in a pretty good mood:

PT 75:

LR1: -2
RC: -2
LR2: -1
RCe: -2
LG: -1

-6 | 174

Highest score yet!

I thought I bombed 72 and I ended up doing decently well on it. I had a ton of stupid mistakes in section 2, which killed my score, but that was a different issue lol. First time I went -3 on a RC which was a success.

Yeah I'm not sure I'll have that luck sadly! I think I'm coming down with a cold or something bc I'm super sniffly and my head was pounding. Took some Advil after the exam and my blind review of PT C2 is going pretty well...... ugh just going to put some distance between PT 72 and when I tackle it again. Glad it worked out for you though!! Stop making stupid mistakes!!

Yeah I missed 2 questions within the first 10, and then another 10 on 2/3 star difficulties between 10 and 20. Finished up with a -7 on that section which is absurd. RIP

Rest up and let the cold pass. Don't push it; who cares about 72 anyway. Got a big day coming up! Gotta be in tip top shape!

Any last minute tips on gaining a few more points? Currently scoring in the 168-169 range, and I'm trying to push it to 170 (or 171/172 if I'm suddenly blessed).

My latest breakdown for PT67 is:
LR: -6
RC: -6
LG: -1

How are you drilling? Something that seems to have helped me (was testing 166-168, and then recently jumped into the 169-174 range) was radically altering the style of drilling/self-testing I was doing. Seems it kicked my brain out of old neural paths and made me "get" LR a little more.

I generally drill sections of LR now rather than a specific type because the ones I am missing aren't a single question type. But what was your previous style of drilling v. your new style?

That was my style as well. To break that, I downloaded all my Q data from 7Sage and dumped it in a Pivot Table and found that I had a >10% error rate on questions ranked 1 or 2 "dots" in difficulty on 7Sage. So I'm doing "loops", wherein I go through every single 1/2 dot question on PTs 40-60 (I've only done 45-49 thus far) and try to answer the question without looking at the ACs. I combine this with drilling sections and trying to finish the entire thing in 30 minutes. I've noticed that this helps me speed through questions 1-13 MUCH faster, and once I hit the traditional bump in difficulty around Q13, I have more time to focus. It seems to be paying dividends on my LR score, thus far, but I'm cautious because this test seems to be the sort of thing where if even ONE thing goes wrong, you're staring at a retake.

These PTs are 57,58, 66-71 - which have some curveball tests with weird scales but I still get the same score. (-4/5 in LR each section, -7/9 in RC, -0/1 in LG). Taking September test and really want to get 171-172. How do I break out of this in time??
Slow down, and up the review. 8 tests in 2 weeks is too much, and as your scores indicate, not helpful for learning. Seriously, review more. The weeks before the June test I was only doing 2 tests a week, and reviewing each test for 3 1/2 - 4 hours. I was stuck around 170 and managed to work up to 173 on test day by reviewing more and drilling/PTing less.

TBH though, I don't think you'll be able to comfortably hit the 172 mark by test day. Going from the Mid-160's to the low-170's is arguably the toughest plateau to break since in all likelihood you are only missing the 2-4 hardest questions in each section.

RC is your weak spot. My recommendation is to completely scrap whatever "method" you use now, and try to do whatever feels most natural. Seriously, don't look at the clock, just read at a normal pace and underline only when you feel necessary. I went from -4/5 on RC to -1/2 just by slowing down and scrapping the whole underlining business. I took zero notes and read at a more comfortable place, and everything started to fall into place. If that doesn't work, go back to whatever your doing. But it can't hurt to try, and by try, I mean try it all. FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.
whats your review routine if you dont mind share? thanks!

Last one in the section? I dropped 4 questions on that section when I took it in June, was one of the harder LR sections I've come across.
