I wonder if Mordecai is rare due to it having a 3.8/175 threshold but it shares that with CCN throwing those out. maybe more would bite if they lowered the GPA or lsat parameters on it.
Yeah a brief look through LSN says 173/174+ and 3.9+. I'm willing to bet every single one of those withdraws had a CCN full and/or Y.
I totally agree. If your thresholds are roughly identical to the Ruby not a lot of people are gonna bite.

If Vandy fed slightly better into Biglaw I would go. Nashville is the most fun you will ever have in your life if you are sociable. I would live there in a heartbeat if the job market was there.chewinggum wrote:Duke > Vandy.chargers21 wrote:Duke seems more than willing to go to 120k, but not higher. On the negotiation front, Vandy just accepted me and offered me a low scholarship recently (like 30k short of the average/median for my numbers, which sometimes get full from them). They shot me down on negotiations, basically telling me duke isn't worth 15k more than them. Like, whatever dudes. You do you.
But I don't plan on applying to Vandy. But if I do, it's only for negotiation purposes - I'd never actually go.

Every time I think about it I get angry. I'll be a splitter at NYU/Columbia (in the event they take me) so I know sticker or close to it is coming my way.oopsu812 wrote: My tuition is 5k a year, so I get how you feel when your eyes go at prices.
I have absolutely no problem paying the minimum payment for a loan though. Bc $3k/month, how will I live? lol

I've heard Nashville is a good time but I'm not sure I'll be applying to any "southern" states (excluding Texas) with the intentions of actually going.TWiiX wrote:If Vandy fed slightly better into Biglaw I would go. A friend of mine recently graduated from UAlabama law and insists I consider it. That's also a very firm no. George Mason is on my list, but that's NoVA.

Why George Mason but no southern schools? Typically, people who avoid southern schools seem to be averse to stereotypical portrayals of conservative southern culture, but George Mason is amongst the most conservative schools in the country.chewinggum wrote:I've heard Nashville is a good time but I'm not sure I'll be applying to any "southern" states (excluding Texas) with the intentions of actually going.TWiiX wrote:If Vandy fed slightly better into Biglaw I would go. My UG is twice as expensive OOS, but the law school is essentially the same price for IS/OOS.

I already live in Arlington and two of my uncles, an aunt, and my supervisor went there for law school. I've also visited (UG) a few times and never really witnessed any extreme conservatism (not saying it isn't there but I haven't seen anything like that).Anon-e-miss wrote:Why George Mason but no southern schools? For example, I have family in Dallas and La Porte and the vibe is extremely different. I couldn't do La Porte but Dallas is cool.
