Still worth a shot and your score is still competitive at a lot of other top schools. You know your abilities best though, if you think you can knock out a higher score, go for it.gwillygecko wrote:harvard, stanford, columbiaInstrumental wrote:Well, you know better than us what the other aspects of your app look like that could compensate, but regardless, that's a very good score. Going to send out some applications later this week, and early next week. Should I address receiving 160 on my first Lsat attempt, and 159 on the second? My initial response is to not even mention it.

weren't you scoring in the 170's? why apply with your 160? I feel like you should at least give yourself another shot since you practiced for itSunDevil14 wrote:Going to send out some applications later this week, and early next week. Indeed, I was scoring in the 170 range, with a handful of 173+ scores. Higher 160's on a bad day. I am not entirely sure what happened on Test Day. Even though I knew I likely did not crack 170, I felt incredibly certain that I did better than my first attempt. I am certain I can do better, though at the same time I want to get on with my life. I am not enthused with the prospect of sitting out another year, but at the same time dislike that I am selling myself short.34iplaw wrote:+10-20 (your score improvement in June)Instrumental wrote:+1Mikey wrote:weren't you scoring in the 170's? why apply with your 160? I am currently stuck in the awkward and confusing mental space that only comes from doing everything to better yourself (in regards to Law School) and ending up worse off.
My plan now is to throw out a few applications at the moment and hope I get lucky. Might as well see whats out there before I commit to sitting out another year.

I think that's fair. Just don't talk to yourself into something below your capabilities.SunDevil14 wrote:Indeed, I was scoring in the 170 range, with a handful of 173+ scores. True. Ideally, I want to work/live in Southern California. If I get lucky and receive a decent offer from UCLA, USC, or a better ranked school then I will likely take it. I do not plan on accepting an offer from a school below the top 20 unless they offer a full or close to full scholarship.34iplaw wrote:I think that's fair. As of now my plan is to submit a risky/provocative personal statement in the hopes that an admission officers reads it and thinks it a work of literary genius, or at the least enlightened and or entertaining.

Yeah - I'm not particularly enthused by the answer to the moth and the airport lane question.Pozzo wrote:Not sure, but Blueprint has a thing on the buildings game, so... maybe?34iplaw wrote:Are we permitted to discuss questions at all yet or have to be wait for the new test to be released? Man I finally went back to review the LR questions I missed on the test. With the first LR, it still took me some effort to arrive at the right answers, but for the second LR, the two questions I missed (Farmer and YXK) I got right immediately and I'm wondering how I goofed on them in the first place. wtf guess that's what test conditions will do to ya.
Now to review RC and LG.
