did you just adopt the, "imma read this shit and find out what it is without notes." approach?
Oh yeah :) I guess practicing with the memory method helped me read the passages differently/better? But it just felt like note taking and sucking up my time
Sometimes, I jot down stuff or a check mark to indicate MP or topic changes but mostly I just underline as I go as a placemarker (not like every line probably 40%)

I do the same as you. Mine is not a consistent notation strategy really.. But I feel like the notating for me is more for the read, when I get to the questions I rarely look at what I underlined.

The more one focuses on the content/structure rather than notation is when I think most see dramatic improvements in RC, my goal next month is 10 RCs with 2-3 days of heavy review in between. My studying/overall morale has been shit since the new years so I'm in the biggest rut right now; I went from two 180s to barely being able to hit 20/25 on LR.

All of these different prep options are a bit overwhelming, and definitely a strain on the wallet. Pithypike's guide seems so simple in contrast. Only thing is that Kaplan's Big Orange isn't an option anymore. :|

First time here. Just checking in for the June test. I've been studying for a few weeks already and seeing steady improvement. I'm taking it slow at the moment so as to not burn out.

May God have mercy on our souls.

What's the absolute maximum you guys can study? I've been pushing myself till my eyes go cross (~6hrs), but I've heard keeping it to 4 hrs a day is the most productive/healthy?

Perhaps this is one of those, it doesn't really make a difference/depends on you Qs.

Ugh, frustrating. Aren't you moving soon? Hope you're gonna be able to get back into the swing of things soon!

Yeah, 31st :/ It is just frustrating living with your parents in your early 20s when you haven't really been here for 5 years, and its only been 2.5 weeks lol. My brain schedule is:
Finish trainer before move
Get situated at new job/apartment/swolehouse for ~3 days
Start the drilling and PrepBooks.
June 12: 180 plz?

I think there is a point of diminishing return after 2 hours a session; you could pull 4 hour days but I'd separate them into am/pm sessions. Weekends I pull 6 hour days, 11am-1pm, break to do whatever, 5pm-8pm.

I've been doing six hours a day for the past two weeks. Don't feel any burnout. However, those hours have to be dedicated and I usually cut myself off from the world for those six hours. I think most of the strain comes from jumping in and out of the work and when you're in the zone you're just pumped to do the next lesson/set/apt etc.

Is Master the LSAT (2012) any good? Perhaps as a substitute for Pithypike's Big Orange Book?

Hi! Been reading these forum posts for a while and decided to join in. Despite the fact that I may be starting my LSAT prep too late (I'm really not sure), would you all suggest that my first step would be to do a diagnostic/cold test? I mean, will I be absolutely confused or what? <3

Drilled like 40ish hard flaw questions earlier and 30ish MBT questions a little bit ago.

You are far from being late, I imagine most people won't start until March this is a thread of future gunners so far, so welcome.

First step, personally I would just read whatever prepbook you have right now and get yourself acclimated with the material then take a PT after a month or so.

A diagnostic wouldn't hurt you, but taking prep tests after a 4-6 weeks of going through a prep book will give you a much better idea of what you need to work on.

I did the first 5 lessons of the Trainer yesterday.

Earlier today, I drilled 20 flaw questions, and did an untimed LR section. Got 22/25. Not too bad, not great. The 3 I got wrong were: overthinking question 1, and the other two wrong I had narrowed down to two answers and picked the wrong one. Felt good getting back into it.

going to try and muscle through to chapter 30 in the trainer, maybe drill 10ish questions as well since I feel okay and not angry at the world because of my early 20s angst.

Didn't do any studying today, as I was sick. I'm also starting to get antsy about not having a full-time job atm. Really need to get back to work by March 7th/sometime in March.

Made it through about 20 pages in LGB, got anxious/antsy about a fellowship I'm working on and ended up doing a lot of busywork today. Printed out my drill sets, got a lot of smaller stuff taken care of. Tomorrow is a new day!

I felt this way too man. It's good to have work because it structures your time, but then this time you have to stay full time becomes even more vital. I had a few weeks off of work and saw my most progress in putting a lot of hours in during that time.Still time til June, but unfortunately not a ton of time.

Yeah it's a slightly-stress inducing scenario haha - I want to go back to work, but all this off time is great for LSAT studying. I need to just get into a rhythm! Even with all this time, the best I can do is 90 mins a day.

Day by day, I suppose.

I'm looking forward to getting back to work too it does get you into a good routine worst case is fatigue but preworkout exists. I'm a little anxious because this is my first, "Big Boy" job that doesn't entail telesales, gym front desk, warehouse attendee, etc. so I don't know exactly how it will go. One thing is for sure, it can't be as bad as telesales.

Applied for graduation earlier this week. I need to start asking for my LORs. Now that senioritis has kicked in, all I need to worry about is the LSAT

I applied for graduation a few weeks ago  We're almost at the finish line!

I already have 1 LOR, working on that 2nd one

Roasted. Took work off today and put 10 hours in -- if anyone wants to know, this is an awful idea and really burns you out. Will take tomorrow off.

Quick question about LoR to the wise -- if I don't have a good second LoR (I will probably pull something out of my ass eventually), I can pretty much count on being out at Yale? Does H care as much about LoR? I have a 4.1 gpa and hope to get 175+ but obviously that will have to wait and see.
