I don't have control of the goddamn DJ stand otherwise I'd play some other shit that isn't future; there is a lot of OG rappers/trap music in WPB that puts out bangers. Plus working full time and studying makes it really difficult to go out.PrezRand wrote:U one of those goobers that wanna listen to NY State of Mind at the club lmaodj9i27 wrote:Hopsin is funny, not really a good rapper. Illmatic is 100000000x better than anything future will ever put out. Nas also has album chronology where you see him grow as an artist and person. Listen to Life's a Bitch on Illmatic then Daughters on Life is Good. His tone changed dramatically and you can hear it from album to album.

Future makes better music than Nas in 2017. Illmatic is overrated

Nas... made 1 song in 2017 and it was a feature. I like It Was Written and Stillmatic better than Illmatic tbh, but it changed the way rap was until Kanye caught super fire with Graduation & MBDTF. Plus, future is a gigantic pussy who isn't even gangster, fucking Eminem sober is more hardcore than him. Ohh you're talking about shoes. How hardcore.PrezRand wrote:Future makes better music than Nas in 2017. Illmatic is overrated

Fun fact, that song was recorded in 50s NYC apartment after he got shot. That is why the audio is quiet.

Noticed a significant increase in my RC ability, but on the earlier, pre-comparative passages. I've been able to get it down to -1/-2 (per section) fairly consistently. Still a bit nervous that the comparative passages will trip me up. Is there a huge difference in the difficulty of the non-comparative passages on the newer tests? I'm hoping the non-comparative passages are relatively the same so I have extra time for the comparative passages.

50 peaked with Get Rich or Die Tryin'. Ludacris used to have some good shit but he peaked awhile ago too. I like Drake but he makes like 1 good song for every 15 shitty ones.

Not really imo. The comparative passages aren't that big of a deal as long as you take the time to keep stock of the info you're given. I find hat they usually take about the same amount of time.Platopus wrote:Noticed a significant increase in my RC ability, but on the earlier, pre-comparative passages. Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Did a timed RC from Prep Test 15 today. Got -7.
I noticed I got 5 incorrect answers when I had it narrowed down to 2 choices and picked the wrong one.
That has to be a little bit of bad luck, but a lesson that I took from this is to spend the extra 15-20 seconds to confirm my answer choice with the passage. I finished the section in 32:00. So I definitely had the time
At least I know where I can improve.

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Looking for some input, as I'm currently stuck at around the -2 mark for LR.
Just finished up a section, and when I glanced down at my watch I was at about 22 minutes in at Question 20. I finished my first go of the questions at about 28 1/2 minutes and had the remaining time to check answers. I went back and forced out the conditional logic on a parallel reasoning question, and went back to double check one or two more, changing one to the correct AC. Ended up with a -2 on the section. For what its worth, I don't feel like I am rushing the section, I usually take a pretty laid back approach and read/think at a pretty normal speed.
Clearly, having time to double check some answers is helping by score, but at the cost of perhaps dropping an easy point early due to carelessness. How do you gals/guys manage time on this section. I feel like I need to slow down a bit, especially earlier, but I'm afraid of going too slow and not having time to go back and diagram the questions that need it. I get the sense that my mistakes are test-taking mistakes, and not comprehension mistakes.
