Pardon my ignorance but when people talk about the strategy of drilling, what exactly are they referring to? My understanding of it so far is just applying the lessons towards practice questions. If thats not it can somebody please clarify exactly what I am supposed to do?

Also, I'm using PS bible study schedule and I noticed for drilling prompts, they refer to another PS book regarding drills. If drills are just practice questions, would I be better off obtaining previous LSAC PTs and going off of those questions rather than buying the PS book?

Yes, that is what drilling is. More specifically some "drill" by doing sets of the same type of question, e.g, doing 25 necessary assumption questions.

I don't know much about the PS drilling books, but you can't go wrong with a bunch of old PTs. Just make sure you leave plenty for full-time PTs when you are ready.

Basically what Barack said. It's just applying what you learned about a question type by doing a large amount of questions of that type.

As far as doing it by question type, would I have to categorize the questions myself beforehand? i.e. from LR section of past tests, find all necessary assumption qs?

Also when do I start drilling? Is this something to start after finishing up the bibles or after each lesson?

Well if you can get your hands on a Cambridge LR by type book on the cheap (they stopped selling them so now people suck and sell them for a ridiculous amount) then definitely do that. It organizes question types and difficulty. There's other by type books but I forgot who sells them.

Now on how to use them, I just did question types and learned that way, but if you're using a book then what people tend to do is drill after each q type lesson.

You don't have to find them yourself. There are sites like LSAT Blog and 7Sage which already have them organized by type so you just have to flip to the question in your PTs/

I made photocopies of all the one-page LGs and then I would shuffle them like cards and do a few whenever I had some down time. Would keep a stack in my bag and even if had 15 mins free I'd bang out a couple.

It takes a while the first time (flipping through PT books to copy each LG), but once you do it once just feed the stack through the feeder on the copier to make a second stack!
