last minute retake or not?

Post by regulartime » Wed Sep 09, 2015 10:18 pm

I have a dilemma. I have a couple of hours until the deadline to late register for the October test. I have a 167 and got good offers last year, but decided to sit out a year. I thought I 'd maxed out my score, because I consistently scored a 167 on PTs. I wasn't going to retake, but instead reapply with my same numbers. I am now averaging a 171, but don't want to wait until December. Should I take the October test? Will a fluke lower score hurt me? If I got the same offer from my top choice as last year, I would be happy, but a 170 plus opens doors I thought were closed. Any advice would be appreciated.
