How should I attempt to answer a Q like this? PT A, S4, Q 20

Post by flash21 » Fri Jun 12, 2015 6:34 pm

Hey there TLS,

I wrote this timed section today and just raged at this question. I picked (C) (why? I have no idea.. I just needed to leave this question).

I saw the flaw pretty easily but NONE of the answer choices made sense. Even as I read (D) now, I somewhat get it after reading through Manhattan's forums but I'm unsure if how to deal with flaws that are described in just ridiculous ways.

How can I best learn from a Q like this?

Sorry counsellor, I understood the argument fine. It is the answer choices that make this type of question so irritating for me, I'm wondering what the best way to go about it is. Even the right AC here looks wrong to me. After reading the explanation I cannot honestly say to myself I would get another Q like this right, I feel like I'm reaching in even comprehending how they could make a reversal sound so much different than it is.
