I think you mean political science

I have a degree in both political science and philosophy so I'm just going to discuss the moral implications of your respective terminologies.

I had a friend who got a 179. He said it was higher than any exam he ever took. He never told me what his PTs looked like though. I had another friend who got a 167, and she said she was scoring in the low 160s. Both told me that the reality of the test made them focus more. Then there are the countless others who, in response to the reality of the test, score lower then their PTs. Long story short, some do better, and some do worse.

There are many who score higher than their avg pt, but the majority score below it seems. I think it is just test stress, so you would know how you normally do on tests. I usually kill tests and get a kind of adrenaline focus rush. Hoping that carried over to LSAT. I feel like it did.

Or maybe people who score under their PT average are much more vocal about it!

I usually do better with most things when I'm under pressure. Kinda wakes me up, if you will. But I didn't know how to feel afterward even if I felt hyper-focused. I can never gauge my performance. Uggghh
