That's probably true. They monitor this site and tell us when someone posts something they consider over the line, though, and have consistently allowed "LR about dolphins" and the like, so that's where the rules come from.

I feel the same. Finished LG and one LR with extra time, the other LR didn't seem too hard. I didn't have trouble on the glass passage but I did run out of time (didn't do passages in order) on the Kant one. No idea how good my educated guesses were. I'm kinda disappointed because my RC was down to -4 consistently on PTs but then I got overly nervous for RC during the actual test.rose7300 wrote:Long time lurker first time poster.
I feel like I'm crazy reading through this thread. Thought both LR sections were easy and had no problems with LG whatsoever. But I thought RC was BRUTAL. Got to the questions from the last passage about glass and couldn't figure out some of the answers for the life of me. RC is always my hardest section (especially with the increasing difficulty levels of the most recent tests...) but I really struggled this time. Anyone else out there feel this way?! Anyone?!

Actually had two clocks in my room, one of which was ticking the entire time. Didn't seem to affect my mentality, though. oh man my testing site at a local community college was a nightmare. Clock in the room was broken and they were holding what seemed to be a drama class on the other side of the paper-thin wall.Tycho wrote:Actually had two clocks in my room, one of which was ticking the entire time. I wonder if LSAC takes into consideration this curve poll. If so, nobody vote lower than -12? -14 for all baby!

Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
I was feeling great going in, had LG at the end and had finished every section thus far with plenty of time to spare. Then came the LG and the good feels stopped pretty hard. The trees and the magazine were pretty rough and I didn't even have time to read the last four questions, barely had time to write down my guesses on the off-chance of getting a stray point. Definitely killed my morale, I was thinking I might actually break 170 on this one before hitting the LG. So yeah, visit violence upon the LG department for that BS.
But hey, silver lining, at least for a few weeks there's no more studying. As much as we may hate the LG section, we only hate it because we did it and we're done with it. So let's all take a nice breath and relax for half a second.

I might be mistaken but I thought I heard the curve is preset, barring minor adjustments, taking into account results from the trailing 3 years but not necessarily this particular test.

I heard they do most of the curve beforehand, when it's all experimentals, but they do curve it a touch more after the actual test. Unconfirmed source but that's what I've heard.

I heard that they throw all of the testing materials into the giant lsac preptest doom cauldron and then collectively recite the words to an evil lsat incantation that is comprised of a hybrid parallel flaw/mapping game/Author would agree with each of the following EXCEPT dense science passage Q and then the curve appears in a huff of smoke and then quickly vanisheselLobo wrote:buckiguy_sucks wrote:Serious q tho, they determine the curve before hand don't they?

It was 100% only 23. both the experimental and real were 23 qs.benwyatt wrote:Wasn't LG 24 qs this time around?
I saw someone who said 23, but I'm almost positive mine was 24.

Yeah I only had 1 LG and it was definitely 23. I double checked like 4 timesWhnlifegvsulmns wrote:It was 100% only 23. both the experimental and real were 23 qs.benwyatt wrote:Wasn't LG 24 qs this time around?

Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
It sounds like you did just fine. What are your goal schools by the way? Apologies if you mentioned before, I don't rememberzacboro wrote:I had a guy two seats to my left using a mechanical pencil... Less than 5 minutes into the first section he was kicked out. Also I felt like LR were all easy, each time I finished with extra time, and RC I finished right on time. I still can't get over the fact that I guessed on 4 LG questions, but I keep going over it in my head thinking:
hard test so big curve + I did particularly well on LR + finished RC in time without being frazzled = a 170 or higher score.
I know that's all speculation but I need to speculate to feel sane about this score. I'll go insane if I have to retake for a third time
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
