Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
I actually haven't looked at Duke too much, but now I'll do more research on them. My main targets are Columbia, NYU, Penn, Berkely and maybe Cornell. Of course if I score high enough for HYS I'll throw apps out. I really just want to get an in-house job but that usually requires big law for a couple years. I just want to put real numbers in mylsn instead of a blanket range to see if I need to adjust my goals.zacboro wrote:Jackel I'm really interested in Duke. I like their programs, location, and other things I've read about them. And I COMPLETELY understand where you're coming from with the "I just wanna see my score so I can start looking at schools." Mylsn puts me at >85% acceptance for Duke with a 170 or higher. Depending on my score I might look into some other schools. You?

Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
I got LR RC LR LR LG, and I’m *seriously* hoping my first LR was the experimental one. It was my first time taking the test and all the waiting between getting to the test center and actually taking the test (1.5+ hours of sensory deprivation basically – waiting for check-in to start, waiting in line, waiting in the test room for everyone to arrive, at the desk waiting for the test booklets, blah! ) and my brain took a bit to catch on. I was on a serious caffeine low by go-time.
I vaguely remember the first section being longer than the other two, but can’t be sure. It was hard! I had 3-5 questions that I was seriously conflicted on.
The babbling baby was in my second LR so I think that one’s legit and the third LR seemed too easy (finished with extra time to go back). Someone commented elsewhere that the LR experimental was easy though. Fingers crossed!
RC seemed standard, with 2-3 questionable ones. The moral passage was the hardest, but the glass passage took the longest time. There was one question that just did NOT have a right answer.
LG was one of the easiest I had ever done (or so I think!) I finished with 2-3 minutes to spare! The magazine question seemed really easy to me, which means I was TOTALLY off, or I’m one of the people it made sense to? The third question, which I can’t even remember the topic got me more than the other trees or the bonus problem sets, I went back to it to re-do some of the questions. Something with afternoon and morning sessions maybe?
I was testing 167-168 with practice tests from 2001-2009 mainly. The Mauve Dinosaur question made me cry. Thank god there was nothing like that!

Is this (3rd LR being the experimental) confirmed..?fayvee wrote:I got LR RC LR LR LG, and I’m *seriously* hoping my first LR was the experimental one. it's my understanding that just because you had a specific LR third out of 3 total LR sections doesn't mean that was the third LR section for everyone who had an experimental LR.hunt godlink wrote:Is this (3rd LR being the experimental) confirmed..?fayvee wrote:I got LR RC LR LR LG, and I’m *seriously* hoping my first LR was the experimental one. Same. Cornell or Northwestern are my goals. Although lately I've been considering applying to one T20/25 as a back up.JackelJ wrote:To get the ball rolling: I'm T14 or bustwhacka wrote:Yeah I'm actually curious to know everyone's target schools

Well again i didn't have an experimental LR so i don't knowfoles wrote:Can we get confirmation on whether the LR section with the Q that took up an entire column about planning a conference was experimental or not?dhb44 wrote:I must not be talking about the same one because i had two LG sections. i believed i did, it was on the left page on the right side...
Agreed. This was section1 for me, and my format was LR (26) - RC - LR (25) - LR (25) - LG

3.76 is still really good and you can always update law school apps with a new GPA after your fall semester. You get your score back right away for the GRE and GMAT too. Hopefully I'll forget about getting my LSAT score back for 3 weeks
