I'll be honest...I am going to dislike going to Texas because of the lack of sweet tea. I even put sugar in my hot tea. I drink a little coffee with my creamer (if I HAVE to drink coffee)...But regardless, I prefer tea, mostly because it increases my immuno-response time. Or maybe it just feels that way. Idk... I visited a law school to which I applied ED (before I even applied), only to get denied acceptance. Talk about disappointment.EnderWiggin wrote:This got me thinking. Do any of you plan on visiting lawl schools that you're considering before you're close to the critical decision-making stage? I.e. within the next 6 months, if you're applying during the upcoming cycle.

Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
I always wonder how conversations like that go down... take george dubya (sorry to pick on him after vehemently outing myself as a lieberal dumbocrap but he was the first thing to come to mind), who obviously only got into Yale UG and Harvard Business because he was the fourth generation of a political dynasty. Did his dad or grandpa call up admissions and say "look, you know who we are, you know who this kid is, you're gonna let him in"? How does an adcomm say "yeah ok" and feel good about that?bpolley0 wrote:I'd be willing to bet you quite a bit of money otherwise. Yale let someone in with a 158 LSAT last year according to their website.buckiguy_sucks wrote:Nah law school is all a numbers game. Being connected at Yale still won't get someone under both their medians inbpolley0 wrote: Not with that attitude. I think it is pretty obvious to say the people who are most likely to get into those schools know someone or are somehow connected.......

the son of a really infamous foreign politician is a current T6 student, his parents have been convicted of murder and corruption and serving life sentences before the guy was accepted to law school. the guy's reputation revolves around partying and expensive cars instead of studying so i wonder how he got in.

Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
I did have sweet tea in some restaurants when I was over there, but it was my understanding that it is not the Texas norm. If my understanding is inaccurate, then what the hell am I waiting for to move to Texas?!Joscellin wrote:What? We love our sweet tea down here in Texas. You'll be fine.Whnlifegvsulmns wrote:
