The farther I get into the Trainer, the less satisfied I am with the LG lessons. Should I go ahead and get the LG Bible? Any recommendations?

I liked the LG bible. After reading the LG bible, and doing a little drilling, I go -0 most of the time. If a particular game really stumps me, I will then look up the free explanation on 7sage.

I haven't read the Manhattan LG so I can't compare.

Do any of you know, is there anywhere where I could print off a compiled answer key for every LSAT?

I have a folder of LGs I carry around in a folder and do when I have spare time, and currently I'm carrying around a 40 page answer key (the answer keys from every PT double-sided).

I found one on Cambridge that wasn't printable. Found another on the lsat blog but part of it wouldn't load.

I honestly don't think any one particular approach is alone enough to get good at games. Really it comes down to how well you practice, understand conditionals, and how well you understand how the rules fit together. I didn't get really good at game until I started attacking games in a way that made sense to me.

I would say that the LGB doesn't go super in-depth on hypotheticals, which can sometimes be necessary (like game 3 on the October test). It does introduce hypos and gives some examples but doesn't necessarily emphasize it.

Off of the suggestion of someone in the "160+ study tactics" thread, I just ordered an old copy of "Master the LSAT" for $3.50. They said the most of the book wasn't very helpful but it has a good section on the hypo approach to games. I figure I'll give it a shot for $3.50.

Yeah that has worked out pretty well for me. It helps with eliminating a lot of answer choices too, plus with those rule replacement Qs.

All the different companies use different terms for it, but BP calls it "Scenarios" and I think the bible calls them "Templates" or something like that - but the thing where you split the game into 4 possibilities if there's only 4 places for a game piece to go for instance.

I know its a small sample size, but the past two LSATs (76 and 75) were made exponentially easier using this 'scenarios' tactic. If you pick the right variable, a seemingly tough game becomes a ~4 minute game.

He made a distinction between his idea and scenarios (as BP sells it) in that when you do scenarios, you try to get all the "entry points", which means you have multiple ones. His idea was just a simple test case that you do even when you don't have to do scenarios just for the sake of familiarity which you can do for every game. I found this to be really helpful when rules don't fit together after you diagram them. (Idk if I made it clear in my other post that he wasn't talking about doing scenarios).

But I agree that the past couple years have been very rule driven and rely heavily on how quickly you can test things/ do secenarios.

Mint (this quote has nothing to do with this post, just wanted your opinion).

Do you have fresh material? and if not, how do you plan on getting a gauge of your current level? I have no fresh material and am unsure what to do for that.. I'm assuming its best to just review as best as possible and not really worry too much about it.

Just finished my Cambridge MBT packet (ABOUT TIME) during lunch break.

I plan to work on Manhattan RC book (on chapter 8 now, comparative passage) for 1 hour after work, grab dinner, nap/chill, and do timed RC and LR.

Also thinking about deactivating Netflix................. let's stay strong everyone!
