Definitely. I didn't do that for June and had trouble focusing by the end of the exam. I started including a 5th section (usually LR because those wear me out more, but I tried to vary it) with each PT for October and it really helped my endurance.

Also, if you haven't downloaded the 7sage proctor app, you should. It gives you the option to add in distractions, like paper shuffling and coughing noises, and I found that helpful.

ETA: My 5th section was often from a test I had already done, and I would score it separately and review how I did on it the second time compared to the first and looked for patterns in my mistakes.

checking in. does anyone know if registering for an LSAT and withdrawing before test day takes up 1 of the 3 retakes? I plan on registering for December but withdrawing in case I don't feel ready.

Withdrawing doesn't count. That's my plan too.

You're going to be totally fine for the next test. RC screwed me up on my first take as well and I had to rush through the last passage. I think I missed something like -7 on it my first take. Seems like RC is your problem. I would do every RC section possible and use the Manhattan RC book, which really helped me.

+1 This was me on recent PTs (not so much on the older ones) and Manhattan is helping a lot. Also, thanks so much for all of your helpful advice for December folks and congrats on reaching your goal score, theugg!

Been fluctuating -0 to -3 on LG this week, and -0 to -3 on RC too! Still drilling LR. PTs soon! This material isn't new for me, although I have not seen it for the last 8 months or so. Perhaps I should try finishing my sections in 30 minutes. Seems hell of an effort though! Not that I am happy with my scores in these sections.

McJimJam wrote:Soooooooooo I think I'm gonna join you guys...kinda. Gonna still apply to my targets and safeties with my current score, and see if I can't get 3-5 more points in Dec before applying to my reaches. Does that sound stupid? I feel like I'd regret it if I didn't try one last time but also don't wanna wait that long to apply and this is what I got.

I'm doing the same thing. My score is great for a few of my target schools, so I am going to submit those apps as soon as possible and then if I do better in December, then I'll apply for my reaches. I don't want to lose out on any scholarships at my target schools because of waiting on a December score when my October score is perfectly acceptable.

I'm having a hard time, the only test center available around me is 49 miles away and I really don't want to do that again. Should I just wait and hope they open some more centers up?

you can register and change the test center by the change date should others open up.

Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:I'm dreading starting to study again. Probably looking at Monday as my first day since the October test.
I've taken PTs 40-75, most of them twice some even more. I'm pretty much out of materials, and I'm just not really sure what to do. I think I'm just going to work through the Cambridge packets again to refresh some skills and take maybe 65-76 again to get used to timed sections.
My breakdown for oct was:
RC -3
LR1 -6
LG -1
LR2 -6
Comes to a 167 :/
Way I look at it. In June I did some things well. In October I did more things well. Let's do all things well for December.

in a similar boat regarding test prep material. sorry about the lr setback, but know that you'd come out stronger for december.

somethingelse55 wrote:Sup guys. 171 in October but I know I can do better, so I'm here!

Mint: I'm in a similar situation to you. I've seen basically every problem from PTs 38 on, and a vast majority of 1-38 too. I'm going to go through the difficult questions cambridge packet, redo some of the PTs that I haven't done in 6+ months, and finish up the rest of 1-38.

Also going to do a ton of dense reading outside of LSAT studying. I'm a believer in that strategy.

congrats!

i'd say so. you don't want to risk lsac not opening any new centers.
