McJimJam wrote:So I got impatient and kinda just went ahead and did PT 73. RC is still a pain, but now it seems to be just one passage in every section that trips me up as opposed to the whole thing being a mess. I go through 3 of the sections getting anywhere from 0 to 2 wrong total. And then one where I'm missing 3-5....
Anyways the breakdown.
RC:-5
LR:-2
LG:-1
LR:-1
Raw: 92 Scaled:173
That seems to be my new average, and I don't really get too much test day anxiety so I'm hoping I can pull that off even though you usually wanna be a couple points above your target.

That photography passage though.......

that passage was so annoying.

Welp did PT 76 this morning

RC: ~3
LR ~7
LG:~3
LR: ~5

I had ordered PT 76 from LSAC and when I got it I printed it out and scanned it in so I can re-do some trouble problems this week. Well I was using a copy I made yesterday for my test and my scanned somehow missed the second game so I had to rummage through my backpack and it really hurt my timing. The games felt good, I need to shore up some LR this week but other than that I'm going to take it easy. Good luck to you all!

Just blind reviewed games for 76, the fact they throw in that "switchable" H and J block in the double layered sequeencing game was totally lost on me during the timed section lol. Luckily they barely tested on that, def missed a Q due to that initially though.

I'm starting to get worried that I registered too early for the LSAT. Is 2 months enough time to go from 170-172 to 175-177? I don't want to take the exam just to retake in June.

Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:sooo 74 with an LG exp. had a bubbling error in s1 which cost me 4 questions. 174 without the error, I actually had expected more.

LR -1 sans bubbling problems
LG -1 ran out of time for rule sub question.
LG exp -3 (grrr)
RC -4 (also grr)
LR2 -1

ill take the LR scores. i missed 3 in the comparative passage because I was running out of time, which hasnt been happening too recently on RC.

damn you killed it

just looked at my incorrect answers from RC on PT 75. I missed 5 questions and they were all contained in question 20 through 27. ugh.

I have 1 fresh test left overall and it's in the 70s. should I take it this week?
my last 70s PT this weekend was discouraging in that i scored well below my target and i am worried that it'd be crushing if the fresh one also doesn't go well.

fishpaste1 wrote:Lol somehow RC has become one of my strengths. Averaged -2.8 on the RC sections in PTs 71-75. I have no idea what clicked, but clearly something did.

On the other hand, the new LR sections will be the fucking death of me. I'm not sure if I'm just overthinking them, or if they are actually more challenging than the LR sections in the 60's... I feel like they don't prephrase nearly as nicely as the LR sections in the 50's and 60's. Also, it seems like they require you to use "common knowledge" more often than previous tests and it's driving me insane.

My score on Saturday is entirely dependent on LR. Feeling great about RC and LG, no idea what to expect from LR.

even though i have drilled a lot of RC, my average in RC over last 3 70s PT is -7, which is not where i can be. is there anything you did that led to better rc? what were your rc scores in different 70s PTs?
