how are you so good at the LSATgamerish wrote:Holy balls I didn't miss any LR questions on the whole test. Wtf
I jumped 5 points from Feb to Oct if I can pull that off again I'd soooooooo happy! Also totally regretting not having done my PS, slowly working on it along with studying.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote: That said I'm really hoping to improve a ton from October. 167-172+ is a game changer.
Nice! Isn't it an amazing feeling?!? Only have done it once ever thoughgamerish wrote:Holy balls I didn't miss any LR questions on the whole test. Wtf
Yep, PT! It's really nice to know that I'll at least have one of the decisions back soon. I'm applying to all of my other schools when I get off work tonight (except Chicago and Harvard, waiting on Dec LSAT for those)gamerish wrote:Did you apply PT to Duke? I just sent in my Duke PT as well as my Cornell and GTown apps on Saturday.slizerd wrote:YOU GUYS I just applied to Duke, Michigan, and WashU. SO NERVOUS.
Thank you! It definitely is a huge relief to have the essays done. I still need to write why Penn and Virginia essays though. You should set aside 3-4 hours a week just to work on essays if you'd prefer to start applying nowMint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Good luck!!! At least the apps are in and done.slizerd wrote:YOU GUYS I just applied to Duke, Michigan, and WashU. SO NERVOUS.
Really regretting not working on essays while waiting for October. Would have been nice applying to some of my backups now.
That said I'm really hoping to improve a ton from October. 167-172+ is a game changer.
aren't you already good at even the recent rc and scored really well on rc in oct? did you have less than 5min for the last psg in Oct too?gamerish wrote:RC doesn't make any sense at all. I missed 3 questions on a passage I spent 11 minutes on and only 1 on the passage I had less than two minutes to answer all the questions on. And no matter what order I read the passages in - whether its first to last, last to first, fewest questions to most or most questions least - I always have five minutes or less to do the last passage. I'm gonna start taking multiple timed sections of RC on every non-test day. I need to figure this out.
lol I just took 61 yesterday and bombed it. Can I ask what strategy you use for RC? I got -10 once again on that section, pretty much all in the last two passages. Did you read half of the comparative and then go to questions or read straight through first?gamerish wrote:Holy balls I didn't miss any LR questions on the whole test. Wtf
Thanks, I am still trying to get out of this -10 grind. Always taking too long to read the passage and making subtle mistakes exploring possibilities. Cheers to Noguchi, dental caries and animal vocalizations, these guys always manage to trick me.gamerish wrote: I saved the comparative for last since it had the fewest number of questions and I can usually get through the comparatives much quicker than other passages. I read the whole thing very, very quickly and had less than two minutes to rush through as many questions as I could.
Seems like overthinking and second guessing. Same problem here, I try to go with my gut but end up debating it anyways. I'm putting this entire week for RC drilling and taking the last 4 new tests over the last two weeks. Let's see if we can get some last second improvement going.gamerish wrote:RC doesn't make any sense at all.
