This is a common problem with no easy solution, but I just wanted to add that a couple of times that this has happened to me it was because I was way off and had eliminated TCR. If you're really 50/50 on two ACs, it might be worth going back and making sure you didn't misunderstand the question and cross out TCR by mistake.

Drilled the sufficient assumption packet today. I thought I was looking pretty good on LR until then. Made way too many careless mistakes. Good wake up call I guess.

Tis no victory more sweet than getting the critical initial inference, no defeat more bitter than getting fucking wrecked on the succeeding two games.

 :o :) :D  :? :(

Joining in right now hopefully to keep me on track until October. Trying to come back from an embarrassing write in June which I shouldn't have even sat for. Somehow trying to go 151-170.

So I've been skirting around this question for a while, but I've been asking it in so many indirect ways...might as well ask it straight up. Is there a difference between irrelevance and out of scope?? Or does it not really matter too much?

That's what I was thinking, but I was not sure. It seems like on the Manhattan forum they use it interchangeably.

When drilling questions by type, when does everyone normally switch to another type of question? I've been doing 50 of each then switching, or should I wait till my accuracy on that type is almost 100%. What are your opinions?

I am by no means suggesting that my strategy for utilizing them is the best or even that it ought to be followed, but this is what I'm doing (keep in mind I just took the June test and am retaking in Oct):

For LR I'm just going through them by question type, and am doing each packet in order (easy -> hard questions). For RC, I'm actually just rearranging them into sections by PT, since I don't really find it very useful to separate them based on content. I'm planning on doing a timed RC section just about every day. For LG, I'm doing them by type just like LR, except any game that is from PTs 25-38 I'm skipping. For the games from those PTsI'm going to do the same thing as RC and do timed sections after I have the initial drilling under my belt.

Curious to see if anyone sees any problems with this strategy/how others are going about it.

Word I'm doing the same thing basically, going from each question type in difficulty. I'm only really timing myself for LG since LR/RC i don't really have much issues regarding time for those

Any good alternatives to libraries and coffee shops?

If you're in college just find a random empty classroom somewhere.

I'm taking the LSAT at my school so I'll be thrilled if the test center is a room I've already had multiple tests in, both PTs and regular exams.

I've been out of UG for 2 years now, so that's a no go. The school I'm taking my test at isn't too far, but their library doesn't open up until 10:30 AM on Saturdays. There's another college that's not too much further (~35 min drive) that opens up at 7:30 AM on Saturdays, but is not near the location I'm taking the test at and isn't an available LSAT testing center. I'm probably focusing on something that doesn't matter all that much, but I've heard simulating test day is important and wanted to do that. I'll probably switch off locations, that way I can get used to both testing at the right time and driving to my testing location.

A lawyer was shot to death (by the police) at the library I spent six nights a week at.

Guess who took a lucky day off prepping?

That's absolutely insane, you literally dodged a bullet there. What was the issue?

By his social media history, he thought the government had implanted a chip in his head, but his handler offered him freedom if he killed some people. Went into the foyer and opened fire. Hit three, no fatalities. Went back outside as the police arrived, ignored orders to drop his weapon and started shooting at the cops. It took them over a week to replace all the windows.

I've been doing this as well, more or less. Do somewhere around 50, grade them, go over each missed one and figure out why the right answer is right and my wrong one was wrong, and then switch.
