I scored a 150 on my diagnostic. Today I took a timed preptest and scored a 162.
Logic games is still my worst section, went -9 today. Hate logic games so much...

That's still a really encouraging result though! 2 months is a ton of time to improve on LG, you can definitely make some big strides before test day. Any particular types of games give you trouble?

Grouping games definitely give me the most trouble, but I feel like I'm slowly making progress.
And thanks for the encouraging words!

Since realistic schools are on the table, what LSAT will you need to throw an application at HYS?

With my 3.6x, I almost definitely won't flush away the 70 or so bucks to Y, but I think If I make it to 173+ I'll try both H and S. Even if both are intense long shots.

ETA: Stanford's accepted 3 out of 8 3.6x/172 applicants from LSN over the last few years but no 173s. Even accounting for small sample size, that's weird.

Tha's an encouraging statistic! I'm sitting at a 3.7x and before reading that, wouldn't have even bothered thinking about applying. More motivation to get a great LSAT score I guess!

Long term goals are west coast for me, so it's pretty rough that Stanford and Berkeley are so GPA oriented. I'm hoping a strong LSAT plus a few other things in my favor (atypical UG experience that set me back) might help me out.

If not, Duke's got pretty good reach into Cali and sees us 3.6's for the gems we are.

My GPA is over their 75ths but I have weak softs, so I'd guess median.

Forever wondering what truly hard softs would be...

About tree fiddy. But for real, if this is in reference to the poll, you can interpret "w/ money" however you want. It's a very inexact poll anyway so I didn't worry about making up definitions.

As for the question, I read once that most colleges have switched to giving many small scholarships instead of a few big ones because that ends up being more profitable. Law schools might be the same way. I have no idea.

Pretty sure there's some pretty common 5k/year awards all over LSN. Vaguely recall some appearances of 2.5k/year as well.

Graduated as a 5th year senior last year with a 3.8(double major) at NCCU (HBCU..EAGLE PRIDE!) I think if I can hit 165, Harvard is realistic for me! I have one LOR so far, but I pretty much can choose any prof. from either department that I majored in for the second, but I'm thinking I should go with one prof. who is actually a Harvard Law grad, having said that, I don't know who will for sure be the second. Thinking about asking more than two professors. I'm trying to make the most out of this site, that's why I ask so many questions up here lol. Happy studying everybody!

I'm pretty envious of all of you 3.8ers. It's crazy how big a difference that makes in this instance.

It's the one thing that being a liberal arts major is good for. I'd rather be a 3.0 engineer and have job prospects any day.

Unless you're a liberal arts major from a school with some pretty heavy grade deflation.

Professors are apparently instructed by the administration to put in a bit about grades in all their recommendations at my UG, though, so that's good at least.

Took a break from studying, went outside on the deck and there are 10-15 squad cars, 20 or so police of various rank, some sort of mobile command unit, and what appears to be bomb unit robots. I think I'm going to the library to study for a bit.

Anyone feel like they just make the most idiotic mistakes under timed conditions? Drilling RC today and I missed an AC that was LITERALLY stated in the passage.

On a scale of 1-10, how impressive would it be to put "two-time LSAT study thread OP" on my resume? Is that considered a strong soft? What are my chances at Yale?

Hopefully MVP and a little money. I think I need to start praying to the LSAT gods as a part of my daily prep.
