Scored a 174 but not banking on much as far as having a reliable PT range.

I feel you, even though I did a few in the 50's early on I still have everyone from 55-71 to do fresh

You mean other than timed sections, I assume?

I've just gotten started on The Critique of Pure Reason. I was a philosophy major though, so I'm probably better equipped to tackle it than many others.
Good luck with that. I had a class on it and it's totally doable if you force yourself through it and have notes or a teacher to explain the hardest parts, but the effort/reward isn't great. Kant really was a terrible writer; don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Probably because English isn't his native language? My German profs went on for days about how you can't understand Kant unless you read it in German. Having read only a tiny bit I kinda see where they're coming from. In German it's totally acceptable (ok, kind of) to have sentence long paragraphs.
There's actually a joke that Germans read Kant in English because its easier.

My professor was both German and a world expert on Kant, and they agreed that Kant's writing is often unnecessarily difficult and that it even contains errors on occasion (unless you do some serious interpretive contortions). It's true that many of the people who can't understand Kant just aren't smart or diligent enough, but there are points in the book where even a genius would be confused, and I think we can blame the author in such cases.

Do you guys have the Cambridge book? That's what we used.

No idea what version I had, it was a while ago.

My German profs also told that joke. I just remember reading it going "I feel like there's a part of this picture I'm missing out on". Not really confused, just parts weren't there. I was good enough at German one to try reading it... But I never actually tried. Kinda regret it.
I have the Cambridge packets for LG up to 38 and the workbooks for LG and LR for 51-70.

Luckily the course I'm in right now requires the reading of dense primary historical documents written by scientists, so it's pretty good prep. Will probably read the Economist and some political philosophy once that's over in Sept. :)

Side note: my significant other picked up my LSAT book today and scored -3, -4 on timed LR blind. Kinda annoyed that my blind scores seem mundane now (-2, -5) lol. Just a good reminder to stay grounded I guess -- plenty of people just as smart or smarter than me!

Most of the prelaw people I know are completely clueless. Showing them TLS would be like Prometheus giving fire to man.
