Thanks. Going to try to approach games differently from a mental perspective. In reviewing I did a few bad game splits and one game I simply didn't game split when I should have. Probably need to spend more time up front..Cubank wrote:flash21 wrote: LG is so awful for me.. UGH. I actually dont know what to do.. I may try to review things beyond the actual mechanics of the games themselves.. it may be that when I see new games (although they resemble old games) I am going slower for reasons I don't understand yet. or maybe I actually just suck at game and only do good at them in drilling because I have seen many of them before , lol.
It might be because while drilling its great to verify answer choices and go one by one. In timed sections its better to "get" the game and scan choices for the most likely ones and verify those. Like if they ask you what could be true in a scenario that locks a lot of pieces into positions you immediately look for the ones that could move around etc. Games require a bit of bravado in that you have to trust your setups to let you blow through the questions. If they don't, then you need to have the confidence to go back to the rules and see if you messed up/missed anything. I think being more confident in your games experience (of which you have a lot) will help get that section score up.

Re: The Official October 2015 Study Group
Took PT 73 this morning, ended up with a 172.
RC: -6
LR1: -2
LG: -0
LR2: -2
Would be very happy, but as usual my LR and LG scores stay within a -0 to -3 range and RC basically determines my score. Wish I could consistently pull a -3 even on RC and I'd be laughing. And this is after going through the Manhattan RC book lol, ahhh well I'll keep drilling and hope for the best!

It's definitely fair to say games are different in 70+ - I find them fitting less into the "standard" moulds of the ones before the 70's.flash21 wrote:happy games went better for you than for me this morning
I try to knock off the sequencing / grouping as quick as possible, which leaves me time to brute force my way through the tougher ones. Everyone has those days with games though, just gotta review and hop back on the horse for the next one!

wait..that sounds exactly like my testing experience in June...Where are you...Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:It's going to be 90 at my TC on test day. God I hope the AC is on. For the June test they made us wait outside in the sun for 45 minutes before the test because they were distributing the tests to the proctors and going over rules... I was sweating soooo much.

Re: The Official October 2015 Study Group
Is there any truth to this page that says H and many other schools average out PT scores? http://www.top-law-schools.com/retaking-the-lsat.html
Im kind of concerned since I know I have to retake, even though I probably wouldn't get into H anyway.

I think I need to do this, but then I'm worried about losing a day. Hoping last night off and next Friday will be sufficient.McJimJam wrote:People are really letting their nerves get to them, and its seems to be spreading to the rest of the thread. Everybody needs to take a step back and take a deep breath. No one has lost the skills you have been spending months attaining. The only difference between now and then is the pressure you guys are feeling. Don't let it get to you, confidence and a level head is needed as much as all the drilling you've been doing. So chill, maybe take a day off. You've spent months on this, you guys got this.
I tried meditating after my mini-mental breakdown after PT 74 yesterday. I'm going to try to continue doing that. Also realized that the night before I'd gotten in a fight with the SO, so that might have contributed. Idk how much it would have, though. I can't really use it as an excuse.
