Here is the format I am considering .... Suggestions or improvements appreciated, here or in a PM

TO: V.Wormer@fabercollege.edu

Subject: Fall 2015 Admissions status update

RE: L12345678

Dear Dean Vernon Wormer,

I would like to notify yourself and the Admissions Committee on my recently released LSAT score. I sat for the February 2015 LSAT, and am exited to notify you that my score is 121. As you can see from my admissions packet, this is an increase from my December 2014 score of 120. I hope that the Admissions Committee can utilize my newer score in your decision to attend Faber College School of Law.

Sincerely,

Storpappa

That looks good to me, Storpappa. Pretty close to what I have in the event of an increase (planning to just kind of casually stay quiet if I scored the same or dropped a few points).

ETA: also I wouldn't stress too much about emails and shit. After getting admitted to one school I had a catastrophic email failure at and an interview request at the other, I'm pretty convinced they barely read them.

Coming from a world of 500+ emails a day, it is hard to image work without massive amounts of emails some times.

alternatively, they might be somewhat sympathetic human beings who understand that typos happen from time to time.

How many typos did I put in that first draft?
My first Ph.D. is in typos

Picturing adcoms as sympathetic human beings with feelings distresses me. I much prefer to think of them as faceless automatons.

Plot twist: you are offered the option to join the illuminati if you don't go to law school. Which do you choose?

Money is never a problem for illuminati, but you may be required a few shifty tasks.

The Admissions Committee isn't attending anywhere, they are deciding whether to allow you to attend.

Dear HLS,

I originally applied in the vain hope that by retaking the LSAT in February I could improve from my initial score. I now realize how hopelessly naive that idea was, since despite a month of moderate practice my score dropped 8 points from my cold, no-prep score from 5 years ago. It is clear to me now that Tim Tebow has a better chance of being enshrined in Canton than I do of being admitted to your school. Whoops, my bad. This is all a long way of saying that I would like to withdraw my application, rather than suffer the indignity of seeing your rejection letter with all its accompanying LOL's.

Sincerely yours,
usn26

Alternatively, you could always frame the reject letter, as someone else mentioned...i thought that was very crafty...or you could make a little scrapbook...#makingmemories

I've never had peruvian food before. How was it? What kind of stuff did you eat? These are very important questions, haha :P
