I don't know if I like British spellings more or not in general, but I really like old world spellings of things...like shoppe or crewe...but i do like seeing online when someone uses British spelling bc I feel like I can hear their accent sometimes

My biggest pet peeve is people who use theater when they are talking about the theatre.

Grey. I type it a lot, too. Looks so much better, IMO. Can't put my finger on why.

Almost 200 pages of waiting, guys.

Gray just seems too overt...too dominating...it's like it's a try hard or something

I think that's more of a preference issue too though, in general neither has a different meaning. Like if you're talking ab movie theater, than yeah I would prefer that spelling, but I don't think it's a hard and fast rule that you spell the different types of theatre differently, but now I see that's what Raider was referring to also.

Yeah, that's a common differentiation, but what I meant was that I don't think it is actually set in stone by grammar rules, etc. idk, may be wrong but I think I had this talk w someone else in university (another "abroad" term, I prefer, lol) ab this, but I could be wrong...lol

How would they know? Does LSAC warn them ahead of time?

My money is on 2/27, too. Don't know if that's bad or good. Could be a cause to celebrate, or could ruin the weekend...

Precisely. But people constantly refer to going to a play at a theatre as going to the theater.

ETA: as someone who was an acting major it is my understanding that theater refers to movies and theatre refers to stage. At least that's what most actors will try to convince you of even though modern english doesn't care and uses them interchangeably.

My guess is that they're speculating too. :P
