I've never been to Smashburger. Is that a new thing? Google maps tells me there's one by my office. God I love Brooklyn.

I was just responsible for the demolishment of half a chocolate crepe with brownie bits and a scoop of pistachio ice cream. Preemtively eating my pain, I guess? Someone drag me back onto the dieting bandwagon.

I hear Brooklyn is overrated.

I crave cards too. My favorite ones to nibble on are jokers. I assume yours are kings?

And, OMG that crepe with pistachio ice cream sounds heavenly. THAT'S the bandwagon I want to be on.

I ended up apologizing because neurotic, lol. Less emailing adcoms, more crepes in my future. So much less stress involved in crepes.

I like the views better in Seattle but other than that I've grown kind of bored of Seattle. Though nothing beats a Dick's Deluxe burger and fries.

I have a 5 Guys and a Shake Shack a block away from my job. This is why I love NYC. I do want to try having D*ck's in my mouth though. I've heard good things.

5 guys fries :) sooo good

Yeah 5 Guys is about as good as Dick's imo but they are different. Also Dick's is super inexpensive. I just looked up prices and they are about the same prices as In-N-Out which is much cheaper than 5 Guys. I've never tried In-N-Out but I hear that it's good.

For example, this recipe: http://www.abrowntable.com/home/polenta ... ange-sauce

It's pretty advanced but I like it b/c it made me realize that corn & blood oranges go well together. The next time I feel like making a sweet cornbread or something else using corn, I can pair it with blood oranges or another citrus & it'll be awesome

Also, check out Oh She Glows. I'm not a vegan but her recipes are so delish

CE's mother loves this site and I've read some of the recipes and really liked the looks of them.

I bought her the book version of the site for Christmas.

I also bought her this cookbook for Christmas that has some good recipes. She made the apricot thyme scones for us once and they were super delicious.

This was mostly directed last night to Usual, Peppermint, and any other cooking people talking about recipe sites and books.

You know what are SO worth the macros (or whatever else)?

Fried avocado tacos. That's what I had for dinner, so good night for me :)

To fry avocado, just cut it in strips. Coat it with flour, then egg, then with a Parmesan & Panko mixture. Pan fry that in olive oil.

It's really great as a taco or on a salad (especially with grilled tomato & corn).

I love avocados. Fried avocados in tacos sound delicious. Avocado eggrolls also sound great.

Right now a salad with avocado and blood orange in it sounds delicious to me.

Just finished eating a dinner of Wingstreet Wings and a black bean soup that had red, orange, yellow bell peppers, flank steak in it and a little parmesan on top.
