Wrong thread bro. And I'm disappointed in the amount of wit in that post.

They can't all be winners

If you land an outside of NYC biglaw gig, then you're set.
Chances are you'd probably burnout 3-5 years anyways then retire from biglawl.

yeah I imagine I will try to exit around then, but as much as I want to live somewhere cheaper, I don't want to leave NY forever. Maybe I'll just stay in NY and move to the boroughs when my salary takes a cut after exit.

I'll do the Queens thing from the get-go. Westside can be when I get married and have kids. Or I'll just move further out to Forrest Hills or LI.

We should build a halfway house for TLSers in NYC. Then everyone could live there cheap and when some of us make big money they can pay for upgrades for everyone. Share the wealth!

Not too sure ab this American God's book...too dark/deep/something for me ....it's like the whole first chapter was going fine-ish then I come to this flash of another character/ scene going on concurrently where this is the line:

"'You're doing it, honey,' she whispers. He feels the lips of her vulva tight around his upper chest and back, constricting and enveloping him. He wonders what this would look like to somebody watching them. He wonders why he is not scared. And then he knows."

Basically, a true to life "man-eater" is one of the "Gods," I guess. I'm probably just gonna put this one back and go pick up stardust...lol.

 haha...it might be...he should prob pick up a copy...in this case though, the guy paid $50 (and his life?) for that kind of action (just in case bjsesq doesn't have time to read)

Yeah, I remember that part.

This is why I like Dresden Files. I prefer my Urban Fantasy a little more on the upbeat/pulp-noir side than American Gods was.
