Yes but a 173 followed by a 155 could look rather bad.

ETA: extreme example but you get the point.

That was my first take, and I plan on writing again in October, I don't see any advantage in cancelling my score. Can anyone else see any?

But I also thought schools stopped averaging?

Unless you are Yale gunnin' I probably wouldn't. That being said, it also sort of depends on where your PTs were and WHY you think your low 160s. If you were PTing 175-177, but then you only got through 2 RC passages and had to guess the rest, yeah maybe you cancel then. But if you just felt the test was "tough" but you don't KNOW you messed it up (as in you were able to get to all the questions), don't cancel.

TL;DR It's only in rare circumstances when a cancel really makes sense.

You're prolly just overanalyzing and thinking you did worse than you actually did.

zacboro wrote:Right Rigo that's what I was thinking. I'm not going to cancel. I'm not Yale gunning, or even HYS gunning. I don't really think a cancel makes sense, and not knowing how I did will forever haunt me if I do. I just wanted to air out the "to cancel or not to cancel" question briefly to see what everyone's thoughts were. Plus I'm not into fitness.... so I was trying to keep this thread relevant for me lol.

When in doubt, don't cancel.
Cancels are for people who literally blind guessed on entire games due to lack of time or realized they completely misbubbled.
