I just found out my undergrad is one of couple schools that's prescreening the season 5 premiere.

What was your opinion on the second season vs. first season of Alpha House?

I liked the first season better, but both seasons are good. Gil John is hilarious & in season 2, he turns into such a badass. My fave character is Robert Bettancourt b/c he actually reminds me of one of my profs in college

Can I get confirmation that Alpha House is good? Amazon Prime keeps suggesting it.

Also, everyone should watch Transparent if they have Prime.

I've been eying Transparent. I'll have to give it a watch as Jeffrey Tambor is usually hilarious.

Why are none of you watching Hannibal? You people need to watch Hannibal. If you have Amazon Prime the first season is free. If you don't it's $15 for the blu-ray of the first season. It's really good!

I've seen Transparent, it's really good. And Alpha House is so funny & I really enjoyed it. Elizabeth Warren even made an appearance in one episode! You should def check it out.

You're not really losing out by trying it. Half-hour episodes, good laughs and topical. If you like the West Wing you should enjoy it (and see some familiar faces).

The Alpha House cameo list is pretty crazy:

Stephen Colbert
Chris Matthews
Joe Scarborough
Mika Brzezinski
Michael Steele
Chuck Schumer
Dick Morris
Anthony Weiner
Grover Norquist
Tom Brokaw
Chris Jansing
Matt Lauer
Jane Pauley
Kelly Ripa
Rachel Maddow
Jon Ralston
Elizabeth Warren
John McCain
David Axelrod
Bradley Whitford

Oh yeah, and X-files is my all time fave. I don't care how bad it was at times and how campy it could be. I love that show!

Watching in series all the Star Trek shows ... I never knew the shows episodes or seasons had plots or story arcs to them. Watched while working and travelling, never paid any attention other then enjoying individual episodes

Deep Space Nine was the best at this IMO. I think TNG and DS9 were both great, but DS9 definitely did better meta-plots.

I have seen SG-1 in sequence and loved it, but then when they went into the land of vampirs and space ships they lost me.

I watched Voyager in sequence first, and was moved by the Nelix departure scene. Then when I watched TNG in sequence and saw it repeated with Worf, it seemed like a rip off of Voyager, which was messed up since I watched it in reverse

Four men are walking along a road, and they come to a bridge. There is a torch. It is too dark to cross the bridge without the torch, those walking across must be with the torch, and the bridge at most can have two people walking on it. They walk at the pace of the slowest man.
Adam walks across in 1 minute
Bob walks across in 2 minutes
Charles walks across in 5 minutes and
Dave walks across in 10 minutes

If Adam and Bob walk across (2 minutes this leg, 2 minutes communlative)
Bob walks back alone (2 min leg / 4 min cumm)
Bob and Charlie walk across (5 min / 9 min)
Charlie walks back alone (5 min / 14 min)
And finally Charlie and David walk across (10 min / 24 min)

Can you do it in less time?

Step two replace Bob with Adam. (3 Min cumm)
Step 3 Adam and Charlie (8)
Step 4 Adam back (9)
Step 5 Adam and David. (19)

Is there something I missed that makes this not possible?
