Not my thing, but had to get a box the other day for the family ... $5/6 at Whole Foods ... OREO's would have been way cheaper

It sucks that restaurants (or at least food service) at 99% of the places are such low profit margins. I'd definitely look into opening a restaurant/bar if you want to make money. Bars have huge initial costs (you have to stock the whole bar which costs a ton), but your product never goes bad, your margins are huge, and your maintenance costs are much lower than a kitchen/food freezer.

I'd say at most restaurant bars, they break even with the food and they make money at the bar. You pay 3 bartenders a night as well to handle the bar (depending on volume). But you have to pay cooks and service staff to run a food menu.

Shit, just open a bar.

ETA - Just for illustration purposes:

Retail cost of a bottle of Tanq - $30 (your distributor will provide it at a much cheaper price)
Ounces per bottle - 25 ounces (750 mL)
Ounces per martini - 2
Martinis per bottle - 11 (accounting for spillage)
Price per quality stirred/garnished martini - $12
Revenue per bottle - $132
Profit per bottle of Tanqueray sold - $102

There once was some male LSAT takers
Whose nerves made them parkinsons shakers
They circle jerked on some bread
IF YOU'RE LAST YOU ARE DEAD
But at least we now know they're not fakers

Old story:

I meet this girl at a bar, and go home with her. She lives with her sister, but her sister is supposedly out of town. We end up making out in the living room, and after a short amount of time my face is in her box. Suddenly, the door opens. In walks her sister, and obviously horrified, my buffet runs pantsless into the other room. Here I am, no shirt and face full of lady juice, with nowhere to go as the sister is frozen solid in the doorway. At a loss about what to do, laying on my stomach in the middle of the living, I took brave action. I looked left, looked right, put my head down and pretended like I was sleeping. I hope she bought it.

First place I bartended, college bar. $2 pint of PBR. $2.50 pint of Yuengling. Most expensive beers, the IPAs and other microbrews, $6/pint

$4 per well mixed drink (well liquor was super shit)
