I would probably die 14 seconds later bc I didn't know I only had a decade left. Then Alanis morsette could write a song about how ironic it was, even though that does not constitute irony. It just sucks.nlee10 wrote:I had an interesting conversation with some friends last week. It was "Would you give up 10 years of your life for $1 billion given to you right now?"

I'd take the 10 years. Why would I trade my life for money?nlee10 wrote:It is. A bunch of people (myself included) picked to keep the 10 years. Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
I would definitely keep the ten years, but every crappy day I ever had from then on would be exacerbated by "I could have a billion dollars right now." And arguably 40 years with a billion is a higher quality of life than 50 with loan payments, mortgage, gambling debts, etc lol.

We're gonna be future lawyers though, maybe we can negotiate it to where it's not our lifespan and just only what we're doingnlee10 wrote:Probably straight up 10 years. lol.Smallville wrote: what kind of 10 years? doing a certain thing? or straight up like if u lived to 80 now u only live till 70
For example, I wouldn't mind giving up 10 years of working in BigLaw for a billion dollars

My Maltese is lying under the covers on his back with all four paws straight in the air and it's so cute that I want to bite him.

Do you have a habit of wanting to bite your dog? Isn't it supposed to be the other way aroundcrazyhazy wrote:My Maltese is lying under the covers on his back with all four paws straight in the air and it's so cute that I want to bite him.

No but my husband is the LSAT taker not me. I can't judge well unless I was in his shoes or someone elses.crazyhazy wrote:Would you cut off 2.2 years of your life (and no you don't get to know when you're going to die, so it could be immediate but would hopefully be 101-103.2) to increase your LSAT by 10 points?
Also I had one great grandma who made it to be 113, one who made it to be 102, one who lived to be somewhere in her early 90's, and one who died in her 60's from cancer probably from smoking. I feel like I have a pretty good chance of making it past 100.

My Chemical Romance and Silversun Pickups are helping to drown out my LSAC blues. That and the deliciously cute dog (Buster Bear).
