I wouldn't buy UT anything except tickets against my alma. I'd get BU/BC hockey tickets but I think you can just add the sports package onto your tuition and it's not too expensive.
UT will never play my alma. And I really love football.

My alma has their 1st season of football this upcoming fall. I'm sure it will be tough to watch. We do have a pretty damn good baseball team, though.

I love football but UT is the evil empire to me and I was raised to hate them so if I went I'd be cheering against them aways unless they play an SEC school or tamu

Yes-- they've been SEC for a couple years. Used to be Big 12.
I know, just didn't understand why he felt the need to segregate

I know tamu is sec I just had to make that one explicit because they are the one team I hate more than ut haha.

ICLEO

Is that a Stipend which means can be used for housing / living expenses? Or is it tuition, since it goes to the students school account?
It looks like it says both, and I am not sure which it really is going towards.

The month of prep classes looks interesting, but is it of a real benefit?

Opinions?

Most of this thread is going to a #15 ranked school?

I think only a few of us are seriously considering UT.

But is that a problem?

Would seem a high degree of confidence for a random occurrence. Unless they UT attendees came to the thread together.

Oh, well I'm already in, I just need to figure out if I can pay for it.

Also, if that's really what you were getting at, why not say UT instead of #15 ranked school.

I come at this from a different angle ... taking the exam for this year admissions ... already have a iist of admits, waiting for the final list, and as I narrow it down, I send out my withdraw notices to the rest of the list. I am out of the loop on the discussions of testing now for next year, especially as a 2nd time around. That does however fit the general advice on TLS, if you didn't do great, retake and wait it out a cycle.

Pick any school, UT, or otherwise, and it would be an interesting coincidence to have random people in this thread all who obtained admits and retesting for more money. There aren't a huge number of people chatting / waiting. It surprised me to see people on TLS posting over a year or more in advance of school. Especially when in person on exam day I encounter KJD who didn't even know about TLS or any other the other very informative and reality negative/cautionary in their view of law school and the job market for graduates
