Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
I go through cycles of convincing myself it wasn't that bad and I broke 170, and drafting an LSAT addendum explaining why I dropped 5 points on the retake in my head. Someone give me my score and make this end.

Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
I'm going to run this cycle through (barring positive developments at work). I'd be surprised if some people don't pull down absurdly high scholarship offers (for their numbers) in mid to late summer as panic over medians gets worse with summer melting.RaiderRed wrote:I'm honestly not even sure with these numbers if I score a high 160 that I shouldn't just delay til next year.TheProdigal wrote:My cycle is going to live and die on this. Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
I'm wondering if schools are just holding out for feb takers? Pnj has been having a rough time w admissions as a splitter and urm, so i think if there is any change, it will prob be felt more next year? Or later in this cycle...but there's really no telling what they're thinking.WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:Do we think this makes things better for splitters (as in, we really need your 170+, so we will still give you $$$ despite below median GPA), or do we think it helps us less (as in, we are dropping our median to 167, so your 170+ isn't really more valuable than a 167+ anyway)?

Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
Spivey has a blog post on this and basically it was saying high LSATs are strong in the beginning of the cycle, but as time drags on they will matter less and less as medians solidify.WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:Do we think this makes things better for splitters (as in, we really need your 170+, so we will still give you $$$ despite below median GPA), or do we think it helps us less (as in, we are dropping our median to 167, so your 170+ isn't really more valuable than a 167+ anyway)?
Which bodes terribly for splitters like me.

Oh my bad...i thought there was talk of this w dw...still though, i think if anything it will be next yr...but also agree that it seems they wouldn't want to lower their medians, so maybe they have y'all sweating it outPeanutsNJam wrote:Spivey has a blog post on this and basically it was saying high LSATs are strong in the beginning of the cycle, but as time drags on they will matter less and less as medians solidify.WhiskeyAndCupcakes wrote:Do we think this makes things better for splitters (as in, we really need your 170+, so we will still give you $$$ despite below median GPA), or do we think it helps us less (as in, we are dropping our median to 167, so your 170+ isn't really more valuable than a 167+ anyway)?

Can scholarship increase in summer with deposits paid already? If so how?TheProdigal wrote:I'm going to run this cycle through (barring positive developments at work). in at two more schools ...
Sadly, I have to say that it means more when the email comes after the personal phone call from the Dean. It isn't on purpose, but my top list was schools that made those calls to me with the good news, then sent packets with impressive stationary.

Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
Should I toss an app at GULC or any lower t14 just to see what'll happen?
Obviously LSN says my chances are bad but seems like unprecendedly low numbers.

Can you get any fee waivers?
Otherwise that could be a $1,000 lottery ticket

In seriousness?Dirigo wrote:I would. Especially since your February score is a mystery. Try Cornell and Michigan too. Northwestern and Duke.RaiderRed wrote:Should I toss an app at GULC or any lower t14 just to see what'll happen?
