Yeah it was my first time at a Hawaiian restaurant as well. Well technically it was my first time at a Hawaiian restaurant that didn't serve fancy food or only fish and chips. The two times I've been to Hawaiian we ate at our camp mess hall and at chain restaurants a few times, or at fancy restaurants, and one really good inexpensive fish and chips place. Had a fun birthday today. CE made me breakfast, he bought me the series Human Planet, a new boardgame I can't remember the name of, and a record player as well as an Arcade Fire vinyl record, and speakers.
Then we hung together all day and then later went out to dinner with his family to a place I found off Yelp. It was a Hawaiian restaurant and the food was delicious. CE had a Kahlua Pork Moco which is rice topped with smoky Kahlua Pork, a fried egg, and gravy on top. I tasted some of his and it was delicious. I had a combo plate which had Shoyu Chicken and Shoyu Steak, Spam Fried Rice, and Tuna Macaroni Salad. Also I had a Lomi Salmon side salad which is very similar to pico de gallo with smoked salmon. My dinner was delicious as well. Then for dessert we all had a piece of Rainbow cake which is a Hawaiian take on those Chinese whipped cream cakes. It had layers of fruit ganache, whipped cream, and layers of fluffy cake. One cake layer was strawberry with guava ganache, another layer lime with lime, and one layer of orange cake with passion fruit ganache. Also very delicious and I'm happy with my choice.

He decided to do something productive with the majority of his time. I know he's been planning a story arc for a World of Darkness campaign. I'm trying to figure out what I want to play...
