Hey Dirigo

On a which school thread, you replied to this comment
Wake Forest - Tuition 42,738 - Scholarships 35,000 - Estimated Other costs 21,412 --- COA 29,776

UNC - Tuition 39,192 - Scholarship 19,00 - Estimated Other costs 24,910 --- COA 45,102

George Mason - Tuition (In State) 25,350 - Scholarship 20,00 - Estimated Other costs 23,384
--- COA 28,734

I will be able to pay tuition out of pocket and my fiancee will help off set my cost of living.
Isn't that math off?

WF is 42,738 - 35000 = 7,738 / year plus the estimated other costs / year for a COA for 3 years $48,124.
Or are they estimating their other costs PER YEAR, which at $21k/yeah means a limo to school each day?

UNC $85,486

GM - $39,434

yeah
I am talking though about the math error in the per year tuition numbers

They took tuition for 1 year and then added it to a COA ... was that to calculate an overinflated 1 year COA?

I'm not looking at it from the OP's math error, or your comment. Just the discussing of what is COA

I thought that the COA was the 3 year number, not just for a single year

COA by the school is usually one year. But if you are doing three years it could be COA for three years. Depends on the whole context.

The estimated of $20k plus just seemed pretty steep for a single year ... even visiting a butcher, fishmonger and cheesemonger once a month

Go to the individual school websites and fact check the figures.

oftentimes housing can be found for cheaper off campus
I have been looking at housing costs in comparison to the vets benefits, which are by zip code of the school, a variable to look at school by school
