Reading Comprehension Question

So, I keep having a huge range in my reading comprehension scores-some PT I will go -2 and some I will go -8 or something if I get a particular passage or a strange group of questions (I have seen that I am likely to miss more on the older practice tests). I was just wondering if anyone has any tips for how to lessen the variability in scores. I am retaking in Feb. and RC seems to be the only point where I am really struggling.

I've had many students express that their success or failure in RC coincides closely with how interesting or banal they find the passage. This is tricky to remedy, but I'd try bearing that information in mind and seeing if you can apply the same interest and enthusiasm to passages about Frida Kahlo's eyebrow as you might to passages about dark matter (this assuming that your preferences and aversions are more-or-less in line with mine).

With that being said, there are some subtle but significant differences between old and new RC passages. For the best assessment, I'd look at how many you've been missing since, say 2000 or so.

Best of luck,
