I was quite confused for a bit so just to clarify, I assume you mean the average LSAT of students coming out of those undergraduate institutions (and by average are you sure it is the average and not median you're referring to?)?

Also, as far as if it's accurate, I only know for certain based on the median, although the median and general skewed curve indicates average too, however for the institution I attended the median and likely the average too is significantly different / lower than what is listed here. Hope that helps.

My academic summery report says Berkeley is 159.

so is mean gpa pretty much just the cum laude cut off now?

While I do not know how up-to-date this information is, you do realize that these are the average LSAT scores of graduates of these undergraduate institutions?

yessum, that was meant to be an eye roll at UG grade inflation

Interesting, seems to be some sort of strong correlation between mean LSAT scores and mean GPAs. Wonder why that is. Are more academically rigorous institutions pre-disposed to grade inflation?

I bet if it was a median and not a mean you'd see grade inflation is happening just about everywhere

Some of the liberal arts schools (Oberlin, Dickinson, Swath) need to get with the program

You're probably right, but at the same time I know the minimum number of applicants is 50 over the last three years in order for LSAC to report these means, so I would think these means might be rather representative.

Or at more academically rigorous institutions students with lower GPAs are less likely to apply to law school. Because these are not GPA means for the entire school, just law school applicants (right?)
