I'm kind of glad it was a surprise, tbh. Got my email while grocery shopping without even knowing it was grey day. I may have spent half an hour staring at carrots in a daze while texting my bff so she could talk me down from my immediate "oh god no" reaction, but at least I didn't have to spend tomorrow stressing about it.

165, which is lower than TLS average but certainly good enough for my purposes (hoping for University of Iowa). It's +4 from September so I'm glad I retook.

Hey guys, with about a 3.5 gpa and a 170 lsat do you think Cornell is really an option or should I retake? Considering retaking but the thought of studying and obsessing for months all over again makes me cringe.

I think you're good. You're more than likely to get in, esp with the drop in top scorers this cycle.

Don't be discouraged. I got the same score in June and September before getting the score I wanted. Seeing the same score twice in a row is a really shitty feeling (I will forever hate the number 166), but use it as motivation.

I know how demoralizing that can feel. I was crushed after my September score. But with dedicated prep and a little luck (I know some of my answers were guesses) it is totally doable.

Is a February retake too late for this cycle? Not expecting it to necessarily help me get in anywhere, but if I scored higher, would I be able to use it for negotiating scholarships?

Yes. February can be used for scholarship negotiation.
