Anyone only have employer recs and no professor recs? All my classes in college (except 2 classes) were 100-200+ people. I never knew any of my professors and the one I did moved back to Turkey and the other one quit :/

I have employer LOR and one from my undergrad mock trial coach. I don't know if he counts as professor or not. He is employed by the schools and also does the law school's mock trial and moot court. Anyways, he is the closest I have to professor LOR.

2 professor recs for me. Both were small seminars and writing intensive so they got a good feel for me as a person and my abilities.

How long have you been out of college? A lot of schools really want at least one academic letter, so I would try to get one even if it's generic.

My friend just got accepted to Georgetown with only an employer letter so it's definitely not a deal breaker if you can't.
Rigo, would you consider my mock trial coach a professor LOR? He teaches the class (both competing team and regular class) and is employed by the school for both undergrad and law school.

I've been out for three years now. I live across the country now too so I don't think those professors would even remember my name. My two employer ones are my coach/counselor/career person at work and my director.

I dont think a college professor one is an option at all for me :/ am i screwed?!

Not screwed. I think most schools say that LORs are super important but they actually aren't.

Still, I think you should consider emailing a prof who you had the most classes with and give them your transcript, resume, why you want to go to law, etc. (even a pic if you want to try to jog their memory) You might be surprised at how willing they are to help, especially at large state schools, because they know it's hard to build relationships with profs.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try.

I literally had 1 class with every professor. No professor taught two classes (business school). I wish my advanced writing professor hadn't left, she loved me but she moved countries and I have no way to reach her :/

One of the options needs to be: "I'm LLH."

Tried. They have nothing. She moved suddenly for a family emergency. I found her on facebook (yes I stalked), but decided messaging her there is not cool. lol

I think my work ones will help. They weren't just based on regular work - I've written over 5 proposals here for large projects, wrote a few training manuals, been promoted twice in 3 years up to manager level (usually takes 5-6 years), and organized trainings for over 150+ employees while doing client work. Handled on campus recruiting events and first interviews for campus hires, and labeled a top performer 3 years in a row. I guess being in consulting provides certain opportunities.

My director told me he wrote about all of the above, so it's not just work I guess, a lot of outside stuff as well. I'm hoping that helps.
