Yeah as long as you don't talk about seriously unsavory things like how you're a leader of your local KKK chapter or that one time you sold cocaine to middle schoolers, you'll perform your numbers.

I'm going to write about how my childhood fear of bats set off a chain of events that led to my parent's murder and my subsequent committal to vigilante justice. I'll end with a why law statement about how a single vigilante is ineffectual when it comes to realizing lasting change, and how I've come to understand through my escapades that, if I ever want to achieve that, I need to pursue justice from within the confines of the existent legal system.

Might sound cliché, Wolf.

Are you guys incorporating "why law school" into your essay? I've heard/read so many differing opinions about this.

My last 2-3 sentences were Why X

ETA: I misread that. No, I don't really have a why law school statement

I did. I think it should be done if it works and flows with the overall narrative.

Oh to clarify, I meant "why do you want to go to law school" in general.

Okay, fine, then I'll write about how I grew up as part of a society that volunteers their young to the state in a ritual of institutionalized bloodshed intended to deter rebellion and produce docility. I'll talk about how I won and used my new-found clout to incite a revolution.

I'm not. There is no right answer to this. It depends on the flow of your essay. I don't think adding in why law at the end as some sort of afterthought is a good move.

Agreed. It can be really awkward if done as an afterthought. My essay was based on life experiences/work that sparked my interest in PI so it was a little easier to include, I think.

My PS implied that I had good reasons for law but didn't go into them specifically. Sort of 'because of X experiences that I discussed in this PS I am confident in my decision to pursue a legal career' without going into detail. It seemed to me like the natural way to conclude the PS, since mine basically followed the ups and downs of my career from graduation to now.
