Re: DECEMBER 2014 WAITERS (New Poll!!)
Hey, I am a senior undergrad right now and I had a similar problem. I cold-emailed a professor I had (got an A- in his class), who happened to be the chair of his department, and he graciously wrote me one. I just wrote some of my favorite things about his class, told him I was engaged in discussion sections, and reiterated my internship experiences. I sent my resume, and he just emailed my TA and asked for my transcript to verify I participated in discussion and actually got the grade I said I did. Alot of these professors are more willing to help you than you than you think. The worst they can say is no!kayrih wrote:Anyone only have employer recs and no professor recs? All my classes in college (except 2 classes) were 100-200+ people. I never knew any of my professors and the one I did moved back to Turkey and the other one quit :/

Try to get a prof's letter but if you can't, I really think you'll be fine. Your work experience is good and those letters sound more "academic" in nature, which is what matters.kayrih wrote:Tried. They have nothing. She moved suddenly for a family emergency. I found her on facebook (yes I stalked), but decided messaging her there is not cool. lolhillz wrote:Did you ask the dept. office if they had an email address?kayrih wrote:
Thanks for the tip. I'll try.
I literally had 1 class with every professor. No professor taught two classes (business school). I wish my advanced writing professor hadn't left, she loved me but she moved countries and I have no way to reach her :/
I think my work ones will help. They weren't just based on regular work - I've written over 5 proposals here for large projects, wrote a few training manuals, been promoted twice in 3 years up to manager level (usually takes 5-6 years), and organized trainings for over 150+ employees while doing client work. Handled on campus recruiting events and first interviews for campus hires, and labeled a top performer 3 years in a row. I guess being in consulting provides certain opportunities.
My director told me he wrote about all of the above, so it's not just work I guess, a lot of outside stuff as well. I'm hoping that helps.

Is it too early to ask when people think we will be getting our LSAT score results? Next poll?

That was me Isn't it amazing?! Had it for breakfast yesterday, except with a waffle instead of toast. Highly recommend.schmelling wrote:The other night ITT there was discussion of cookie butter. Somebody suggested I shmear some on a sandwich with jelly. I just had my first cb&j and it was amazing.
Also, they make dark chocolate cookie butter cups. It's like a Reese's cup (which I can't eat, obviously) but cookie butter instead of peanut butter. There are no words.

Probably the right move. They're so addictive. There's cookie butter ice cream too but I haven't tried it yet. I'm afraid of what it might do to me.schmelling wrote:I've seen those in the store but I always walk past them out of fear that one taste will force me to reassess my religious beliefskoala-fy wrote:That was me Isn't it amazing?!
