The goal of drilling is reinforcing good habits. You should do it untimed (do not keep track at all) and then ease into keeping track, but still taking the time you need. By the time you're timing (hehe) you should not be taking very long, since the techniques should have become second nature.

I didn't keep track of time at all during drills. It wasn't necessary, since I knew I could finish sections on time, and it wasn't the point of doing drills.

My timing practice happened during PTs and full individual sections. It's better that way, since full sections are designed to take exactly 35 minutes, but you don't know how those minutes should be allocated unless you're doing the question in the context of the full section.

Yup, basically what Shak said.

Last question before I head to school to print my stuff, did you guys use bubble sheets when drilling or did you write on the questions packets themselves? I bought the e-version of the Cambridge Bundle and I have free unlimited printing at school so printing out multiple copies is no big deal, I just didn't know if there was any merit to using a bubble sheet.
When drilling, I didn't.
When PT'ing, definitely use bubble sheets every time. Bubbling is a skill that needs to be mastered.

Anyways, I'm going to suck it up and use this month vacation from classes as an intensive prep for the February exam. Third times a charm..right?

Hopefully applying in February doesn't decimate my chances at admission.

Hey I took the September LSAT and I'm planning on retaking it again in February. But I just got done taking December 2014 LSAT (Prep-test #74) did you think the December one was harder? I don't know why but I didn't do so well on it and I can't figure what I did so wrong :( I was wondering since you have taken both of them what where your thoughts.

Thanks

Can't sleep tonight, so I wanted to share my improvement on this recent LSAT. I went up from a 155 in Feb to a 162 in December. Should be good enough to get into my regional school of choice, but who knows I might have another retake left in me. Honestly though, I just want to be done with this test and move on to law school.

I went 163, 164, 177 this year, June, Sept, Dec. If you think you can improve, retake.

Thanks :) hopefully the t14 like it too.

Seriously though,Robert, whether to retake or not is a very personal decision. I just know I would have regretted it had I not taken it a third time when I felt I could do much better. If you feel the same, imo you should give it another go.

That's incredible, how did you study for the third retake?

Wish I had a magic formula, but I studied very similarly for all three takes. I worked with my tutor, drilled good habits, then hit PTs. The last time around I obviously was more comfortable with the test in general, and that gave me space to focus on specific question types that I had struggled with previously. Other than that, a little luck, and a lot of calm on test day went a long way.

For those who took this test/have access to it: On LG4 (the photographers at graduation ceremonies game), would you guys split and try and solve for all/almost all of the worlds, or would you just assess the different distributions and head straight to the questions?

I chose not to split because the uncertainty over the numerical distribution made for too many possible worlds for me to consider it efficient. I drew out a main diagram and the rules, drew a quick mini diagram about the potential placement of the FH block, and headed straight to the questions. Lol I am historically awful at knowing when to split, though.

I have to 2 places. Submitted January 1st (soon as I got my score) and got the turnaround last Tuesday and Thursday. Accepted!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
