Ever come across answer choices that are nonsense?
And they're always wrong. I've eliminated answer choices that are far out in left field without much thought and it has worked out for me so far, but I want to know if I should be more careful. I do save a lot of time this way.

The way i've always handled these is, rather than trying to understand it, put it aside as "not likely but if nothing else works i'll come back to it." Usually, i'll find another answer that's just perfect for what i'm looking for, and if I don't, I go back and review the answer I didn't understand.

The above approach is a good one^
Every once in a while the LSAT throws out an answer choice that just offends your intelligence. When you encounter these, you can typically eliminate them as wrong answer choices just like any other.

You've just got to be sure that that absurd answer choice isn't, for example, an odd configuration of the contrapositive or something.

Yes. Just the other day. PT 52 Sec. 3. Q. 19. Dinosaurs and Angiosperms.
The argument in the stimulus was so terrible and the correct answer seemed almost like a joke ("Mammals are also found dead in contorted positions")
Everything from the stimulus on down was nonsense, but I couldn't see the correct nonsense in the sea of crazy.

sure, skipping is efficient
make sure you figure it out in review though
every distractor is there for a reason
it helps to figure out what they were trying to get you to think
so you can recognize the pattern and avoid the trap in the future

are you writing a poem
ty tho. I do go over the "wtf?" questions in review. I have my little star system. 1 star is it's probably right, but something feels funny so I'll look at it. 2 stars is I really am not sure, these two answer choices are impossibly similar. 3 stars doesn't happen.

but after you've struggled with the problem for a while and gotten to a point of understanding
check the manhattan forums
sometimes it's helpful seeing things from another perspective
