Did an LG section today (perfect with a few minutes to spare - please let this be a good omen!) and then will do some light drilling Tues & Wed, then take off Thurs and Fri. I view the LSAT like marathon training...tapering makes you fresh on test day.

Re: September 2014 Retakers
Just took PT 70, my last fresh PT. A little disappointed, tbh.
LR: -4
RC: -3
LG: -3 (wtf?)
exp LR: -2
Score: 171
Is it just me, or was the LG on this test a little difficult?
Edit: nvm, I made a couple stupid mistakes under pressure

Not just you. I somehow managed to go -5 on LG on PT 70 and -0 on the rest of the test. I just totally ran out of time, which had never happened before or since.YeezusPiece wrote:Just took PT 70, my last fresh PT. A little disappointed, tbh.

For the high scorers in this thread:
Do you still use your analog watch for LR sections when doing timed PTs?
I feel like, I do worse when I am constantly looking at my watch to make sure that I am on track to hit 10 @ 10m or 15 @ 15m. It also fills my head with unnecessary stress about finishing on time, which forces me to rush through questions - forcing mistakes, reading carelessly, moving on before understanding the stimulus, etc.

Re: September 2014 Retakers
Yeah of course, idk what else I would be using to keep track of the time. It sounds kind of weird, but I always check my watch after every question to make sure I'm on pace. It's developed into kind of this weird rhythm for me. PTing with the watch you'll be using on test day is essential if you ask me.akechi wrote:For the high scorers in this thread:

I don't think that sound weird at all - I've been checking my analog watch after each LR question for a long time, I don't know what I would do without it.

Re: September 2014 Retakers
I've decided not to bring my analog watch on test day. I've noticed that I do better on sections that I don't use it. Especially on RC and LG I have a tendency to notice that I'm ahead of schedule (eg have 20+ minutes for the last two games) and to slow down and take my time, then get hit with some sort of ridiculous devil game/passage and end up not having enough time to finish the section (see previous post where I went -5 on LG).akechi wrote:For the high scorers in this thread:

Watch LSAC throw another surprise at us by including a pattern instead of mapping game…
Just kidding.

I check during every page turn. ~7 min, ~14 min, ~21, ~30 end.akechi wrote:For the high scorers in this thread:

Edit: Is low 170s considered high-scoring ITT?

Tired, but ready. Last PT tomorrow, finishing the Cambridge difficult LG packet tonight and finishing the unusual game packet tomorrow night. Was really hoping there would be a sick movie to see on Friday but there's nothing good playing. Oh well.Learn_Live_Hope wrote:Are you guys ready??

You should rent one of your favorite movies, and watch that….

Re: September 2014 Retakers
I was thinking about it but I know if I just watch netflix or something I'm just going to think about the test the whole time haha. Although I just discovered The Wire three days ago (12 years behind I know) so I highly recommend that if anyone is looking for a distraction.Learn_Live_Hope wrote:Awwwwdontdoitkid wrote:Tired, but ready. Re: September 2014 Retakers
Friday night is reserved for the new two-hour season premiere of Shark Tank. Cant decide if I want to take another PT on Thursday. I retook 63 and got a 175 today so I may just end on that note.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
